Great location and view
I traveled to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend and really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Carolinian. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The view from the balcony in our room was spectacular! This is not a luxury resort, but it was clean, pleasant and reasonably priced. You can't beat the location, close to everything! It's a short walk to the boardwalk but far enough away that the beach wasn't too crowded.

Fabulous weekend away!
I could not ask for a better stay! The service was great. Our oceanview room was very clean. The hotel is in walking distance to some good restaurants. The only draw back was a credit card scammer calling in the middle of the night claiming he was hotel management needing to update our reservation & credit card details. We addressed the issued with hotel security.

Questionable Housekeeping Service
Overall experience was wonderful; however, we did not get housekeeping service until 4pm Saturday afternoon. At that point, I was just out of the shower and not ready for housekeeping to come into the room. When I asked for clean towels, I was told that we could only have 3 towels, even though there were 4 of us in the room (me, my husband & our 2 teenage daughters). Otherwise, our stay was great. Loved the complimentary coffee.

Just Average
My husband and I spent our first year anniversary here. No thrills...We stayed in the older building and you could tell it still needed updating. We had a newly renovated kitchenette but that was about it. Beachfront was nice. The staff was courteous, but it was obvious we were in the wrong building because the staff kept telling us how much better the other building was. I used the lazy river and one of the pools not the gym. We did not get to use the mini golf promo that was advertised because it was only available from 4p-7p on Fri and Sat. We were booked from Sun-Wed...so why was that advertised? As the title says our stay was just average.
