This was the perfect spot! The resort is amazing. Everything you need is there. The king size room has a great balcony with a wonderful ocean view. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful in giving us ideas and suggestions on where to go and what to see. There is something for everyone in Myrtle Beach! You will never run out of things to do, places to shop, or great restaurants to try. I could stay here a million times and still look forward to my next visit.

Lower your expectations

I read all of the reviews before booking this hotel and I thought I knew what I was getting. Some of my complaints are due to my own high expectations (having traveled to many hotels). Some, however, were just unexpected annoyances. They wouldn't accommodate an earlier check in so we had to sit by the pool with all of our luggage for HOURS. They said they would call us but they didn't. We went to ask and they magically found us a room, after confusing us for another guest for a good 15 mins and trying to convince me that I had booked a studio. They didn't have late check out availability either. So we spent additional hours at the mall to kill time before our flight. There is no food on site, three tiny pools, and the weirdest lazy river you've ever seen. All of the water in the vending machines was sold out. The wifi was by far the worst I've ever experienced. We couldn't stream a movie on the night it rained and it was miserable. They don't have rental options on their TVs either. We were told that there is a Redbox about 5 blocks away. We didn't think it was worth the walk in the storm, however. The room itself is dingy and the furniture is awfully uncomfortable. The bed is mushy and we ended up with backaches every day. We didn't rent a car, so we had to walk blocks to purchase anything. We don't mind walking but I wish we would have rented a car to avoid the local restaurants (yuck).

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Take a cab or drive to Broadway at the Beach! It's awesome. We spent half a day and half a paycheck there. So much to do and see!

Great Stay

Great staff. Great location. Great suite with nice small kitchen. The indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzis were great... especially when it was windy and cold outside. It was Ocean view, and not Oceanfront, but the design and the angle with the balcony, still gave a very good view. I forgot what the hotel looked like when we were driving around to find this place and my wife said, that she hoped this was the place, thinking that it would too good to be true... turns out this was the place. We called in the morning on the last day of our stay and they let us check out at 3pm, as supposed to the normal 11am time : ) Very close to the Myrtle Beach tourist area and middle location to alot of areas around Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

Can't get a better location than this. Beach is amazing. Pools and B Bar are amazing too! broadway at the beach is just a mile away! $7 cab ride or $1.50 trolley ride. Definitely go to Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse and the Sea Captains Hiuse (this one is walking distance) Hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and everyone is so nice in the south!

LOVED it!

We were there for a short vacation, just to relax on the beach and check out some of the town. The Anderson was the PERFECT place for us! Definitely one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at with great service.

Magnolia's Restaurant across the street is wonderful! The Anderson advertises it like crazy and it is totally worth it. $8.50 for a beautiful lunch buffet! You really can't beat it. We went there twice and we were only there for three days!

Girls get away.

Our suit was beautiful. The decor was classic. The 2 bedrooms were roomy and made us feel like we had a luxury vacation. The free parking was not an inconvenience. The beachfront and miles of beach at our door was great! 3 out of 4 of us had good massage experiences at the on site spa. One employee seemed very in experienced.

Perhaps skip the spa. We were on the 18 floor and the saturday night street noise level bothered my friends in the bedroom with a balcony! Consider bringing earplugs!

Great Stay

The hotel was very neat and we liked our view of the ocean. The gym facility is quite clean and has everything you need, which is very convenient. Only about a 20-30 min walk to the Boardwalk with a couple of bars and restaurants. Our room was very quiet and we rested well. The people at the front desk were very polite as well. We would recommend anyone who goes to Myrtle Beach north to stay here.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Depending on your definition of short/long walk, we leisurely walked to a near by Piggly Wiggly about a few blocks down and bought some groceries so we can make some easy breakfast like eggs and whatnot. Dining out is nice, but it's great to have some oatmeal if you have upset tummy from traveling. You can also buy some alcohol there to enjoy on the balcony and watch the ocean. It was quite nice!
