Good hotel
Large room with kitchen. Very clean, could use a little updating but nothing major. Great free breakfast every morning, so that was a plus! Very close to the center of Charleston.

Riverview?
Overall good experience. Staff was very helpful, offered a quieter room after first placing us right next to the elevator. Room was very clean, comfortable. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Location was close to the Battery, old slave market. Riverview is a misnomer in their title, however, since they admitted they are not close enough to the river to have a view of the water. Good value compared to other hotels in this area.

Not really downtown but fine.
This was our first visit to Charleston and we loved it. The hotel's downtown billing was not quite accurate, but with the evening shuttle, we didn't mind being a outside the downtown area. The suite was cramped with our golden retriever and lots of luggage but clean and comfortable. Staffers were charming and helpful and even nice to the dog. The refund of the doggie deposit was a nice surprise. Breakfast was good. We didn't partake of free dinner with all the fabulous restaurant choices in town, but noted enticing menus (especially appreciated the local veggie menu). We're big walkers and would have liked safe places to walk the dog besides the parking lot.

Good deal - clean room - tasty buttery salty popcorn
Not much to say really - good price and location. the shuttle service was a life-saver as was Jeanette who got us the church on time for a wedding. $15 flat-fee from Green Cab to get back was nice and easy as well

Great time
We experienced fast entry and departure. Breakfast and coffee are a plus. The description was that the hotel was close to historic district, however, it was across the river without footpath. Renting a car is essential. Well worth the rental.

Always a great stay!
I currently stayed here for an event. The event that I was attending was not near the downtown area, so the location was ideal for what I was there for. This is the second time I have stayed at this location, and it is consistently very nice. It is always clean and roomy. The staff is friendly. Parking is limited when they are extremely busy, but isn't it everywhere in the Charleston area?! Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here the next time I come down.
