GREAT Location and Price!

Went to Charleston for a weekend trip and stayed here. Location is PRIME. Within walking (or biking) distance to Waterfront Park, Battery Park, City Market etc. The breakfast place next door (Toast) is phenomenal, and the pool definetely was refreshing in that southern heat! Very friendly staff!

Weekend getaway

Stay was good, our AC in our room leaked and the carpet was soaked around it but after telling the staff they did what they could to accommodate. Hotel is a bit out of date but can't expect more for the price.

Great Location and Cleaner Than We Expected!

You really can't beat this location! It was perfect! The room was cleaner than we expected, smelled good, and was perfectly cool when we checked in and escaped the 98 degree heat! The staff could use a little work in etiquette (cleaning service doesn't come by until 4:00pm, you can't check in early, and we had to request extra towels several times before anyone came by), but it was a great room for the price. If you have a car, be sure to get there in the afternoon or you won't be able to park at the hotel. You'll have to park at a garage around the corner and get reimbursed - kind of a hassle.

Charleston Days Inn Meeting Street

For the convenience of the location the stay was fine. The house keeping staff very pleasant. The actual accomo0dations were average, but the accessibility to all of the in town attractions was worth it. They have a very good restaurant on site.

Old and run down but excellent location

We chose this motel because they accept pets. We also chose a non-smoking room. What we weren't told is that if one has a pet only smoking rooms are available. Because we arrived at the motel around 7:00 p.m. we were faced with a major conundrum. Our first reaction was that we couldn't stay there because the smoking rooms were sickening; also we'd already paid for the room and the manager wasn't present to refund our money. We ended up staying there but it was quite unpleasant.

Disappointing hotel experience

Service was not good and the complimentary breakfast described on the website was non-existent. For the price charged, there are many other hotels to choose from. Only real plus to this one is the on-site parking. Also had teenagers partying all night next room over.

Not the Worst

After reading the reviews I was apprehensive but overall I had a good stay. The rooms need to be cleaned better on a day to day basis by the staff and the ownership should invest in some deep cleaning including steaming the carpets and power washing the outside areas. The florals outside go a long way to making this facility quaint and welcoming. I enjoyed the pool area, slept well and had a frige and microwave which made it easy to enjoy my delicious leftovers. The location is excellent and the front desk staff was the best and for these 2 reasons I would stay here again.
