Good for girls weekend

All we wanted to do was shop, eat and drink all weekend. The hotel was well priced and in the perfect location. The hotel staff was fantastic. Robert was a huge help when we needed his help in the middle of the night. Overall it was a great place for the price!

The place and people were fine. There was that cheap disinfectant smell in the room..which was my main complaint. Great parking

You will not go wrong here

The location was perfect! Easy access with the car and easy walking access once you're there. Grocery store, aquarium, harbor tours, 5 minute drive. We never ventured off the peninsula, but Mt. Pleasant, Summerville, and beaches were easy drive away. Lots of places to eat nearby. City market one block away. Staff helpful, accommodating for first floor room. Parking is tight, but everyone had a spot. Pool nice, but not large. Good value compared to the hotels in the area.

Awesone!

Right at the heart of Downtown Charleston, a walk away from every thing!. A small room but very comfortable and very clean. I think this hotel is a 3 star not a 2. The best is the location, the worse is the front office personnel, they are pretty rude. I would stay there again, no problem. The people from the restaurant next door are great.

Great Location

The location was perfect for walking around and not needing a car. The outside of the place looked great but the rooms needed lots of TLC. For the price they charged they could spend some money on the rooms. We were at the end of the row. The place wasn't full but we sure didn't get the best or even better room location.

Its a hotel, great location

The best thing about this hotel is its location. The amenities are adequate, the price is good but what really makes this a place to consider is that it is so central in the historic district. Many restaurants and attractions are very close. Its not the 4 Seasons, but its not trying to be.

Needs some love

Hotel only had smoking rooms to offer. Carpet is worn and tearing in places, broken tile and sloppy caulk in the bathroom. Aged TV and appliances.

great for the price

The room was clean although saw couple roaches in bathroom. Now the staff needs a little more training in how to behave .I rarely got a smile from anyone when saying goodmorning. It wouldn't keep me from staying here again BUT,they should acknowedge there guests and greet them with a smile at all times. It's the hospitality business people.Fake it if you have to! Location was excellent! Loved watching the bats drink from the pool! Also, was suprised none of the staff new where a bike rental place was.None of them! I found it on my own. They need to know things like this!

Typical two star

This hotel is a typical two-star hotel. The blanket and bedspread were not clean and the front desk staff was not professional, but the location in Charleston is hard to beat. I stayed there when I was in town for the Cooper River Bridge Run. The room was not worth the exorbitant price I had to pay for the one night, but I understand how the law of supply and demand works on race weekend.
