Convenient location near the Citadel and many downtown medical centers

Got lucky last minute
We were in a bind last minute for the 10k weekend and got lucky to find a room here. Of course it was pricey, but everything was that weekend. The location was perfect and we had no issues whatsoever. They were gracious to move me out of a smoking room that I had booked by accident. Had shuttles set up for the race and bananas and water ready to go for the participants. I have not one complaint!

Centrally Located
Hotel was clean. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. Location was good, free shuttle to downtown right out the front door or an easy 30 min walk. Close to expressway to get to Folly Beach or other areas.

Not good in any category
This is way below what I expect from a Comfort Inn: No tissues in tissue holder In room coffeemaker - No coffee Two old, straight back chairs, one was broken Free internet worked sometimes. Didn't work sometimes Small room, Awful decor Food was second rate One night the parking lot was full & we were told to park at the bank next door - and move by 8am

Holiday in charleston
It' s a good hôtel not expensive with à free breakfast correct When you arrive, room are clean And you have fast food close But if you don't have car it's a little far Good hôtel

Noisy
Great location Veterans visiting Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, as it's right across the street. But, if a quiet night is what you are looking for, forget it. There seemed to be an inordinate amount of door slamming from other guests, and lots of traffic noise. Also cigarette smoke smell on non-smoking floors. Room was clean and comfy.

On the shuttle line ... if you get them to STOP!
Nice and clean, a well-run hotel with a FREE city shuttle outside ... though they don't list the nearby stop as a PICKUP stop. Odd. The breakfast was excellent, with not only waffles, but also biscuits and gravy too. Nice! If you ride the free trolley, you can see all of the downtown attractions in just a few minutes.

This hotel lost records and when confronted to resolve the issue they became defensive and accusatory. The manager Vicki lacks proper customer service training or the ability to properly resolve a conflict. This hotel is independently owned and as a result the corporate office cannot assist. Beware that you may face this similar situation if you book with this hotel.

Good value
Appreciated the microwave and fridge, free breakfast, free internet and parking. Good Value. Would have appreciated a safe in room. Safety deposit boxes not available at front desk, although listed in the amenities book in room. USA Today not available; ran out of Wall Street Journal.
