- Club Level Rooms are located on the top two floors of the hotel by private access only. Access to Club Level Amenities include, continental breakfast buffet with hot items, afternoon tea, nightly hors d'oeuvres and full beverage service, dessert, cordials and on-hand concierge service. Club Rooms offer a sophisticated, neo-traditional early American design. Furnished with a rich mahogany armoire, writing desk and a king or two double beds, the rooms measure approximately 400 sq ft and have a soft glow from the rich creams and gold tapestry. Spring Break
This first class hotel is in the center if all. Parking is convenient for a mere $14 per day - cheap for Charleston. Rooms were very well appointed with mahogany furniture and a nice bathroom. Salt water pool on the 4th floor is heavenly with glass roof, sundeck, and fitness center. Restaurant prices are a little much, more geared to those on business accounts than family travel. Only negatives were that air conditioning in room would not cool below 75 degrees even though it is was in the 50's outside, and the flat screen TV was tiny and not connected to HD cable signal, so it was not clear. On line price helped a lot on the price, but it is still expensive.

Hanks is a great full service restaurant but very pricey. Fleet Landing is a great place to kick back on the wharf, great happy hour weekdays, and decent fried seafood. One of the better values in the area. Pearlz is also best oyster and shrimp pub on East Bay Street. Crowded, but fun and very reasonably priced. Fish tacos are super too.

My husband and I found Charleston Place to be very convenient for walking to City Market, most historical homes, many fine restaurants and for tour pick-up. If you are driving, the hotel concierge has printed directions to almost everywhere (including the plantations and the airport), which are easy to follow. The hotel lobby is glamorous and the shopping is excellent.

There is a nice little coffee kiosk in the hotel lobby for morning take-out coffee, fruit and breakfast pastries. Also, self parking is easy and half the price of valet parking.

Great Hotel, Best Location!
The Concierge Level is worth the upgrade. The hotel is easy walking distance to the best dining and things to do and see in downtown Charleston. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location!
This hotel is perfectly located in downtown Charleston, easily accesible to everything downtown. The staff was friendly. The hotel restaurants are a little pricey but excellent in quality and service. The rooms were very clean bur staff had forgotten to wipe out bathroom drawers. We really enjoyed our stay.

Christmas in Charleston
Came to Charleston for a family Christmas and wanted a hotel befitting the experience. The Charleston Place Hotel lived up to expectations. The rooms are elegant, to say the least, and very spacious. The staff were very friendly, with special mention to Brenna and Latasha at the Front Desk, Amber at the Thoroughbed Club, and Chris from the Palmetto Cafe. The spa is excellent, with a lovely pool and superb jacuzzi and steam/sauna etc. On Christmas Day we had dinner at the Charleston Grill which was fantastic - sublime food and great service from Bryan and Barbie. The only reason I have not given a 5 rating was the Palmetto Cafe and the Concierge desk - I had booked a Christmas Day breakfast there and was not told it would be a buffet. The buffet was stone cold and the morning was saved only by the very helpful and apologetic Chris, who was serving us. He was kind enough to refund the cost. The Concierge desk were unable to confirm the time of my Grill booking and more's the point, showed no inclination to find out for me - it took an hour before I was able to confirm this through another member of staff at the hotel! All in all, a truly wonderful hotel, let down by just a few things.

Good Travels
A good experience
What the hotel lacks in newer furnishings and dated carpet they more than make up for in personal service. They take pride in being helpful and certainly are. The staff deserves 10 stars across the board, now update some of the furnishing and carpet and they would get a 5 star rating.
