Huge room

The hotel is undergoing renovations right now but nothing that was too inconvenient for us. The valet parking was a little confusing as there was no sign to indicate where to go. We pulled into the self parking and found that is also valet parking. A sign would have been helpful. The gentlemen in the parking garage speak very little English. The front desk people were efficient and pleasant. Our room was 1303. Very clean and very large with a full kitchen, a walk in closet with plenty of room to set up the ironing board, and an interesting faucet setup in the shower. The a/c didn't work but the window opened so we could sleep in a cool room. Our room rate included a full breakfast at Con Murphy which was a cute Irish pub located just inside the main entrance to the hotel. Check out was easy. If we find ourselves in the area again I may consider returning to this hotel.

Great deal for the location

My boyfriend and I came to Philadelphia for the day for an interview, so I booked a hotel with an eye on price and location. I was surprised by how well the Windsor fit the brief. It's right downtown and affordable. The room was large and had a great view, and the staff were very helpful.

Enjoyed my stay

The room was very big, bed a little to soft but thats more of a personal preference. Location was good, near public transportation so was easily able to get there from airport without expensive taxi, $8 regional rail to suburban station which is only a block or so away. Went to Eagles game, took free public transportation which was less than 2 blocks broad street line at city hall. Was able to walk every where we wanted to go. Eastern state, numerous museums, constitution center/liberty bell. Discounted meals from nearby restaurants with room key. Overall every thing was very satisfactory. My only complaint would be that check out time is 11 am. If it were noon I probably would of given 5 stars.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the public transportation, train to and from airport is far cheaper than a taxi and stops very close to hotel.

Great suite hotel near all attractions in Philadelphia

First off, valet parking is at a garage attached to the hotel. You walk right from the garage into the hotel lobby. Hotel porters (VERY friendly) will unload your car and bring your luggage right to your room. Overnight parking is about $34 with tax. Figure that into your hotel cost. Parking elsewhere might be cheaper, but then you'd have to take a cab and your luggage to and from that parking lot to the hotel. One you are comfortable with that expense, you can appreciate that are staying at a lovely suite hotel with a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher. We saved time and money by bringing our food with us and preparing it in the kitchen. I enjoyed a workout in the modest, but well-equipped gym on the lower lobby area. Then I went up to the lovely little swimming pool on the roof. The pool water was sparkling, and everything was clean and neat. The view while swimming or sunning is of enormous glass office towers - pretty impressive. The room was perfectly clean and tidy. Nothing out of place. The beds were comfortable, and four pillows gave one lots of choices for propping up to watch the large screen TV. Rooms all have free WiFi access, and sufficient bandwidth for video streaming to watch a movie on my iPad. I have to say that the whole stay was very pleasant from checkin by the desk clerk to the friendly porter's packing our bags into the car for departure. He even suggested a route to our destination.

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

When you arrive at the hotel in the middle of downtown Philadelphia, you may wonder what to do with your car. At the left of the hotel entrance is the parking garage that connects directly to the lobby. A porter takes your luggage to your room, a valet parks your car. Simple!
