Well located, but older style property.
Really well located in close proximity to University of Pennsylvania and Drexel. But the rooms are small and the common areas and parking lot are old style and outdated, even though the rooms are renovated. Rooms were small. But flat screen TV was great.

Step 2 CS accomodations
Prepare to sleep with ear plugs because walls are paper thin. A night before step 2 CS def was not the most pleasant experience. Heard my neighbors blast TV and talk really loud. Otherwise, great location, walking distance from the testing center. Also, our sinks were clogged, water was not going down the sink and bathtub.

Great staff, wonderful location!
This hotel was in a great location and staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were updated and modern. with surge protectors, flat screen tv's and a refrigerator. The bathroom was a little dirty but the staff quickly addressed the issue. Tyne room was quite expensive for a 3 star hotel.

On Campus, on-target staff, & perfectly low-key
First of all, if you're looking for an up-scale experience then you'd be at the wrong place. This is a more you-are-at-home-on-Penn's-campus place, with no suggestion that you're just that close to a stay at, say, the Seasons (which is wonderful in its distinct way). It's just ideal for doing anything at Penn, and there's a Sang Kee restaurant in the lobby -- if you did attend Penn then you know this is an extreme bonus. Staff consistently pleasant, pool nice and clean, and taxis always out front (or bus/trolley ~1 minute walk outside). I have come to love all things Starwood over the years, but this place is simply a straight-forwardly consistent treat.
