Monaco Philadelphia a Kimpton Hotel

Pleased with the room, especially decor. It's a pet friendly hotel which I don't love but it actually didn't smell of animals. Great location - right next to liberty bell. I would return.

The Hotel Monaco didn't disappoint. The decor was intriguing. The lobby was beautiful and unconventionally located just out of sight, to the right of the entrance rotunda. The doormen were on the job 24/7, greeting returning guests and opening the doors, even bidding me farewell by name when I checked out. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and nicely lit. The Red Owl Tavern downstairs was trendy, urban-rustic, and attracted locals as well as visitors - even if it's a little on the pricey side. And what can you say about the hotel's location, 50 yards from Independence Hall, 100 yards from the Liberty Bell, in the vibrant Old City district?? Hotel Monaco is not inexpensive, but it can't be beat.

Would definitely stay at this place again. Staff greets you warmly. Was even given a hot toddy while we were waiting to check in.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, both public and private places. I was constantly noticing the way it was lighted, with amazing 'cage' lighting down the center of one aisle of the lobby, interesting fixtures in the private rooms, some that took a little exploring to figure out how to turn on. The colors throughout were bold without being overwhelming. The location was perfect, within walking distance of museums, restaurants etc. Our stay was marred somewhat by the fire alarms going off at midnight twice and again early Sunday morning. There also was some disconnect between staff, as we requested late checkout but our keys were rendered inoperable before that time, necessitating a trip downstairs twice. The staff was apologetic. Overall, a lovely place in the center of things in Philadelphia!

Great location, beautyful room, staff it is fantastic, short walk to everything, reading market, chinatown, main históricos points walking, if travel with kids dont miss the "please touch museum"

The Hotel staff was awesome! The décor was eclectic and fun! It was so convenient to have a restaurant and bar and a quick meal kiosk right off the lobby. The roof top wine bar was a great place to chill after touring the sights of Philly. The location could not be more convenient and the city views were fantastic! The only suggestion I could make was the addition of a reading light by the bed. There was only one bedside light and it illuminated the entire room. I would highly recommend the Monaco!

Quirky, original and wonderfully comfortable. Perfect downtown location.

The hotel decor is crazy funky....the staff are amazing people....and the food is unreal. Three weeks old and they are a perfectly running machine. Loved it!

Only on a one night stopover but it was a good experience. The hotel had only been open a week so everything was fresh and new. The bed was extremely comfortable and shower etc worked well. The decor was not my taste and combination of some colours was mind bogling! The hotel is in a very good location and we had a lovely view of the liberty bell from our room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
