Overnite Vacation
We live close by and wanted a quick getaway. We used our mobile app to find a room for the same evening. We are mad at ourselves for not knowing what we had in our own backyard before now. The Four Seasons Philadelphia was incredible! The staff was extremely professional, but welcoming and friendly. We were blown away by our deluxe room. Our 8th floor room was enormous, complete with separate living room and view of Logan Circle. We enjoyed our Friday night at the museums by visiting the Barnes, Rodin and Philadelphia Museum of Art. We first enjoyed the gardens and vistas of Boathouse Row from the gazebo near the Waterworks and then went into the art museum where we had wine and cheese on the main staircase while taking in a performance of La Traviata. On to a BYOB for dinner and then back to the hotel's Lounge for live music. We will definitely make time to do this again!!

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
Walk one mile straight down Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards the Philadelphia Art Museum. Many museums on the way, but just behind the museum are gazebos with great views of Boathouse Row.

As spring is taking a while to get started, we decided to drive 30 minutes into center city for a night away from the cold and damp suburbs.. came home refreshed and ready to tackle the next snow!

shower needs work
The Four Seasons in Philly is great though it has one glaring weakness. The shower is in a slippery tub and the shower head is old and cheap. You can get a better shower at most any business travel hotel. I expected more from a luxery hotel.

July 4th in Philadelphia
This was by far the BEST hotel experience in my life, the bar has officially been set - granted the old bar was set at Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid, but what a great hotel. My only negative would be the $49 to park (huge neg, but everything else more than made up for it).

Best in town
Philadelphia is a surprisingly difficult place to find a good upscale hotel that has rooms available and doesn't cost a fortune. The Four Seasons really is a first class hotel with all the amenities you would expect. It's not cheap, but I've decided that it's better than the other alternatives we have tried. Settle in and enjoy a very pleasant experience - the old aphorism you get what you pay for is at least true in a positive sense in this case!

Met Expectations
One's expectations are extremely high when staying at a place like FS. I think overall it met my expectations. Didn't get any turn-down service, which was a little expected. Also - for $600 a night... charging $8.00 for a bottle of water? $600 a night? Validate my parking. Give me free water and snacks. I hate feeling nickled and dimed when I'm paying top dollar.
