Philly Weekend

Front desk personal was very professional and courteous...was the only hotel downtown with free parking a big plus!!! I have only one complaint, the room was very warm and the AC would not come on in the room...I called the front desk and complained about it being too hot and they sent a maintenance personal immediately to check it out and he said that they turn the AC of during the winter months...they need to keep the AC on all year long...overall a great price and would definitely stay again!!!!

ok for a visit to Barnes collection

hotel was ok overall even though a bit expensive for what it is. Beds were excellent. Sports bar is not a place to go for dinner. It is dark and noisy. The waitress was the only one to serve the whole place. She was very pleasant considering what she had to put up with. Food was mediocre. Breakfast is not free. The ad says there may be a charge which is not true. There IS a charge.

Good Philadelphia Location

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a parking lot, which adds value as it is not necessary to pay for parking in a nearby lot. The best part is the location; the hotel is located on the "Museum Mile" within walking distance of several major museums.

Great for BASIC hotel staying in the middle of everything

This hotel is excellent for those who like myself like to be in a great location for a fair price, and not too fussy about luxury features. It's a pretty BASIC hotel. It met and exceeded all my expectations. You can not beat this location and with free parking - it is even better. The room was clean and quiet (that's all I needed), everything was working. The only part that wasn't functioning well was the tub - the drain was very slow. The stuff was very friendly and efficient with all my demands, and dresses nicely and classy. Overall a very pleasant experience, will stay over and over again.

Close to Everything

A clean hotel that has a bit of a "patina". It's fairly old but for the price was a good value. It was within 2 to 3 miles of nearly everything I wanted to see. I went in the winter and the weather was bad or I would have walked nearly everywhere. The parking is good and is free. The work out area is pretty small with ony 4 pieces of equipment. The staff was always very polite.

Skip the restaurant in the Hotel and walk less than a block to the Philly Grub and Pub. Fantastic food and a great selection of taps as well as top notch service.

Thank goodness we only planned to stay one night! 1/4/2013

The problems began at check-in. The desk clerk could not figure out how to print out the reservation and key in my credit card for possible additional charges since it was made through your site. She could not answer simple questions such as "How late is the bar open?" and did not tell us about the breakfast options, not that we wanted to eat there anyway. Then when she finally got us a room, we took the extremely slow elevator and the room keys did not work, so we had to return to the desk. The tub and sink did not drain so you were standing ankle deep in water after a shower. When it did drain, hairs that did not match our hair color were in the tub, very disgusting! The heater was so loud that we could not leave it on and go to sleep. At least the beds were comfortable. This is an old hotel with dirty carpets and dingy hallways. The only positive things are the location near the Museums and the free parking. I don't know how it is rated 3 stars on your site.
