Good motel in a great neighborhood
The motel itself was good but unexceptional. Room was large, comfortable and quite clean. Nice furnishings but not luxury. There was a good selection of food at breakfast, quality was okay but nothing special. Free onsite parking in a covered garage was much appreciated! The real highlight of our stay was the motel's location on the edge of the trendy and vibrant Nob Hill District. There is a lot of fun night life within a short walk; good restaurants, bars and shops. When you first arrive at the hotel you might question the location since it is in an industria area, but the desk staff can give you a map of Nob Hill which will quickly lead you to the good stuff!

Entertainment tip:
Long walk from hotel
Nob Hill, south of the motel, is concentrated along 23rd Avenue. Simply walk south on that avenue and you will quickly be in the heart of the district. However, seeing the whole stretch of restaurants and bars in the district requires a walk of approx. 1 mile. Don't miss the "Peculiarium"! Very different and odd, quite close to the motel.

Clean, comfortable, great location
Loved being within walking distance of the shops on 23rd street. Lots of great Portland culture right there. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great.

Great price and location
The Silver Cloud Inn is in a great location in Portland very close to all the cute little shops/boutiques along 23rd Ave. For the price, the room was very clean, great complimentary breakfast, good amenities - I'd stay here again!

Wonderful hotel
Easy to get downtown, but closer to the Pearl District with it's nightlife, this is a comfortable hotel with a pleasant staff. The rooms are exceptionally clean.

Rekindling couple
quick getaway
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Very clean rooms with all amenities except freezer in little fridge. Convenient location to many shops and Rose Garden. Excellent breakfast options. Better than usual "continental" fare. Parking was a plus. Especially appreciate newspaper at door in morning. Plan on staying there again with next visit.
