Weekenders with dog
Great spot for our family and dog
Extremely comfortable room in every way. Quiet, clean, and the thermostat actually works. Beds were just perfect, although the pullout couch could use a nicer blanket. We travel with our dog, and the staff welcomed her warmly. The pet fee was very reasonable, and there are plenty of good dog-walking areas outside. Breakfast was the usual Residence Inn fare, heavy on the carbs, but my kids are happy as long as the waffle iron is on (which it was!) We stayed on the outskirts of Portland because all the downtown hotels were booked. This location is very convenient to the freeways, but not much else. No coffee shops anywhere within walking distance. Overall a great experience and we'd gladly return to this hotel!

Lots of room
The Shuttle service to/from the airport was convenient and the free breakfast was very good and helpful since there weren't any restaurants close by. The location was a bit far from the downtown area but the metro was convenient to get to via free shuttle from the hotel.Free Internet was convenient also.

Buisness or Pleasure
Comfort
The room was quite nice newly renovated stainless steel appliances, granite counter top. Three free dinners a week with a happy hour with free wine and beer. I never got to take advantage of the breakfest because of my schedule. It would be nice to have a hotel that offers an apple or a bananna prior to 5am. My room was quite noisy because the basketball court was outside my bedroom window and everytime someone leaves there room you can feel there door slam. The staff is superb! Very knowledgable and extremely professional which is a huge step up from some others hotels I have stayed at. All around I would defidently stay there again but next time for pleasure!

Great stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this Residence Inn location. The entire hotel was very clean and our suite was spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful and the daily breakfast was great! There were many food and beverage options to choose from and all was well prepared and fresh. We also liked the design of the suite, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the living area and kitchen. We were traveling with family and this set up gave everyone private space and also gave us a place to visit together. The beds were also very comfortable. Overall, a great stay!

Family Visit
The Marriott Residence Inn was in a great area that was central to the family locations that we were to visit. The hotel was so very clean and bright. The building was so very quiet even with the traffic outside. The room was so spacious and the layout was very comfortable. We had many people to visit in a very short time and the location of the hotel allowed us time to rest between visits. The breakfast and afternoon snack times were incredible! We really loved our stay!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
There is a fine dining restaurant as well as a causal seafood and hamburger bar - side by side - on Marine Drive, just minutes from the Residence Inn and also Restaurants on Janten Beach which are again just minutes from the Hotel. The city of Vancouver, Washington is just over the I-5 bridge and there are some spectacular, fun restaurants along the Columbia River just east of Vancouver.
