Good Location
The hotel was under renovations. The staff was great and the property was clean. The room was great. We were on the bottom floor and the people above us were very noisy when they walked.

Relaxing Week
The room was very nice and big, the staff was friendly, you feel like you're in your own little apartment. The breakfast is pretty great with lots of options, a bit pricey.

Take the light rail to Lloyd Center when you arrive at the airport. The hotel is only a few blocks away, very quick quick and easy. No need for taxis or car rental. The one week pass is $26 and gets you on light rail, street car, and buses.

Very Very Very nice place to stay
We only spent one night here, but the room was super clean, large, had a kitchen, living area, even some dishes. The staff were very nice, there was a free breakfast buffet, free Sunday paper, and the price was very reasonable. Check-in and -out was super fast and efficient. The ONLY thing that took away the slightest bit was that the floors/ceilings were fairly thin I guess because we could hear the people above us just walking. And they must have had kids because we heard running and stomping. If not for that I would give it 5 stars!!

One of the things that was fantastic about the stay in the Residence Inn was the breakfast variety. Also, there were certain nights where there was a barbeque or soup and salad or horsd'oeuvres. In general with all of the meals available and the proximity to shopping and public transportation, this was a very reasonable place to stay.

Only stayed overnight, but everything was fine. Didn't use the kitchen. Choices of hotels are limited in this area, and this was the nicest. Good breakfast choices.

Great breakfast! BEWARE of internet connection.
The best part of this hotel is the free breakfast buffet. It is not just juice and danish - we had scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, waffles, and more. It was nice to have a kitchen in the room - if you plan to cook instead of go out, it is perfect. Maid service was a bit inconsistent, and there wasn't much luxury in any of the amenities, but it was clean and the staff was very helpful. WATCH OUT if you need to access the internet during your stay. There is wireless internet in each room, but good luck getting it to work. I couldn't connect my verizon card to the internet either because apparently verizon doesn't have coverage there. There is internet in the lobby that works great. And they have a free coffee station stocked, so it isn't too bad to just sit there and work. (as long as Dirty Dancing isn't playing really loud like it was one day I was there. Location-wise, this hotel is not great. It is on the "other" side of the river. Not within walking distance to many Portland attractions because you have to cross the river bridges to get to the fun areas. The Lloyd center mall is very close, but it isn't really a great mall - it has things like Marshalls, Ross, Sears and some other stores like that - it isn't very good shopping.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are several Japanese noodle houses within close walking distance. (although this is not an "Asian town" atmosphere at all). Noodle soup really hits the spot on a rainy Portland day!!
