A great home base to explore Portland

Perfectly located. Right on all the major public transit lines and walking distance to all of downtown. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The hotel decor is chic and the facilities clean. The room was small but had everything one could need. The bed was really comfortable. Doesn't have some of the big hotel amenities but the courtyard is really pleasant and the restaurant is one of the best we ate at in town.

Little sound proof

Modera central location was perfect...everything else was average. Well staffed, clean, modern design. The fire pits are part of Nel CENTRO not the Hotel. The cocktails also very average. Plenty of street parking after hours...and on weekends.

Pre-book car rental. Enterprise a few blocks away will allow you to drop off after hours on streets. Plenty of after hour Parking. We rented two days of our 5 day trip. Zip car also around the corner from hotel.

A little flakey, but nice

The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. Well situated in Portland's Cultural District--an easy walk to Downtown and the Pearl. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant, nel centro, is very good. The electronic system to notify housekeeping to clean the room doesn't always work, so we had a few days where our room wasn't made up. If you're touchy about noise, request a room at one of the ends, as the ice machines in the middle of the floors can make a loud hum.
