Nice if you like rustic hotel trying to be modern
The hotel front desk and reception area were consistently welcoming and helpful and was the highlight of my stay at Hotel Lucia. I called for room service twice and with simple orders and each time did not receive everything I had requested. My room was on the end of the hallway next to the ice machine which went off every 15 mins and was overflowing. After my second night I requested if they could turn it off and they were kind enough to do it for the night. The machine is loud and kept me up every night, even with ear plugs and the TV as background noise. The rooms are TINY and shower pressure is poor. All in all, I am not impressed with the hotel for the amount spent on a a three night stay.

A pleasant trip
I was in Portland for a conference at the convention center. The hotel is in a great location. Easy to get to from the airport via the trimet lightrail. Easy to get to the convention center. Overall a pleasant experience. Very nice as boutique hotels go. Although, I wish there was a mini fridge in the room.

Hotel Lucia, Portland, a delight
Lots of character and wonderful amenities--apples on the counter, water handed out as I left in the taxi for the airport, someone at the door at all times to greet me as I came and went to my conference. Staff always had a smile and seemed genuinely pleased that I was staying at the hotel. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Centrally located, just a block away from Portland's wonderful light rail system--free in the downtown corridor!

The hotel has great location in downtown. However the room was postage stamp size. The bathroom half a postage stamp. The bathroom had a protruding post that would not fit an average size man. The reception staff was cordial but welcoming and informative.

Nice downtown boutique hotel
Tastefully decorated and very inviting lobby area. My room was also nicely done. Hotel is centrally located and within three blocks of the MAX red line train that serves the airport. My only criticism is that the bathroom sink was too small. The rooms are compact, but still very comfortable.

Short walk from hotel
If you don't have a lot of luggage, take the MAX train from the airport to Pioneer Square - a 40-minute ride. It's only $2.40 and a 3-block walk to the hotel. The cab fare is well over $30.

Hotel Lucia Portland
helpful, friendly staff, but did not seem the most knowledgeable about local information. Great location close to all core downtown amenities and restaurants. Clean, tidy room, but on the small side. Good for a quick business stay...good value.

If you're going to be in Portland itself, you definitely don't need a car. The red line train will take you from the airport to within two blocks of Hotel Lucia. Transportation within the city is extraordinary.

Nice hotel in the heart of everything but too much street noise in the room. I was on the second floor.
