Ansel Adams on the walls!
The photos and art work in Hotel Lucia are AMAZING - original Ansel Adams and some other person, a Richard Avedon descendent who specializes in famous people like Jodi Foster looking goddesslike and Diane Sawyer popping bubble gum... The photos and artwork are everywhere, including Picasso-ish nudes in the fitness center, not really feng-shui for the 5 AM fitness crowd. I had a lovely room. The city has a crazy downtown mixture of car, trolley, and bike lanes the prohibit car turns across the lanes -- it's byzantine for a navigator, it took me about five passes to get to Hotel Lucia since most streets are one way.

small rooms
Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. Everything was clean but like many of the other reviewers have stated the rooms are small. The bathroom even smaller. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room the hotel is great. Has a poppin little bar in the lobby and you're in a great location for everything you'd want to do in Portland.

Hotel Lucia
We were in our own town, just having a night away. They were great with service, even upgraded us. Downfall was plumbing noise, you could hear the neighbor showering. The bed was SUPER comfortable.

Wedding Trip
Went to the local Voodoo Donuts, which was not that fun, because it was a huge wait, and the donuts were just OK. The trip to Portland was okay, didn't have much time, but there seemed to be a lot to do.

Great location
Room nice, but built for one - a biit cramped for a couple. Could hear "atomic flush" toilets flush in rooms on the floor.

Rosa's Dad
Highly Recommended
I attended a convention at the convention center and the hotel was across the river. Though I had to take the train each day it was fine, because it was almost like going to a completely different place. I liked the quiet and the fact that it was within walking distance of everything. Just to clarify, the TV in the fitness center did not work.

Sunglass Hut is two blocks from the hotel. It was the best one I have ever visited and the salesperson - [...] - was outstanding. Koji Sushi is right next door. Also highly recommeded.
