Great stay!
Wonderful superior king room, fun and quirky, love the art and the staff were great. Tons of great recommendations from front desk for restaurants, etc. Beds were a little softer than we like, but location and price were great.

Boutique does mean small
The hotel was well located in downtown Portland within easy walking distance of lots of destinations. The front desk staff were welcoming. What no helpful staff could change was the noise and the size. For the former the hotel provided ear plugs, a nice touch, but not enough to avoid hearing loud youth outside on the street nor fellow guests in the bathroom or the hallway. The room was small for one person, so cramped for two. One desk chair. The bed itself was comfortable. But there was barely room to get the room door open next to the bed. We could have upgraded to a bigger room, the option the front desk offered. We didn't. Dinner at the Imperial restaurant Saturday night was exceptional: every dish cooked and spiced right, well presented and bursting with good flavor. We would visit the restaurant again. For the noise and the size, we would stay in a different hotel.

Comfortable Hideaway
I really enjoyed my stay and my room with it's lux King bed (not really necessary as it was just me). I thought that the room was nicely appointed as well and that the bath room was a good size too- I am not really sure what the others were saying that the room was too small I found it to be fine. Afterall I wasn't moving in LOL, it made for a great trip with it's location so near to everything downtown I would be happy to stay there again. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Just a few blocks from the Muni train at Pioneer Square, I used all-day passes and traveled all about the city. It is also near the Morrison Bridge for a nice walk over the river where it meets the Biking/walking trail along the Willamette River and nearby awesome Lebanese Food!

Nice Hotel
The hotel was in a great area. I was able to walk to a lot of the sites of the downtown area. The staff was superb. The only downside of the stay was the room and bathroom was a little on the small side; and the plumbing was a little loud at times. Other than that, it was a great hotel for the money.

Nice if you like rustic hotel trying to be modern
The hotel front desk and reception area were consistently welcoming and helpful and was the highlight of my stay at Hotel Lucia. I called for room service twice and with simple orders and each time did not receive everything I had requested. My room was on the end of the hallway next to the ice machine which went off every 15 mins and was overflowing. After my second night I requested if they could turn it off and they were kind enough to do it for the night. The machine is loud and kept me up every night, even with ear plugs and the TV as background noise. The rooms are TINY and shower pressure is poor. All in all, I am not impressed with the hotel for the amount spent on a a three night stay.

Great Location, but small room
What was most important to myself and my girlfriend was the location of the hotel and the price, and this one did not dissapoint. Walking distance to anything downtown, and only a few blocks away from Voodoo Doughnuts. We got the smallest and cheapest room, knowing it would be tiny. And it was, so I realy can't complain. Just be aware that if you require a room that's not so tiny, you might want to upgrade. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our stay in Portland!

A pleasant trip
I was in Portland for a conference at the convention center. The hotel is in a great location. Easy to get to from the airport via the trimet lightrail. Easy to get to the convention center. Overall a pleasant experience. Very nice as boutique hotels go. Although, I wish there was a mini fridge in the room.
