unsatisfied.
I was over charged twice which is frustrating in itself. The "city view" was more of a parking lot view with loud street noise. .glad i paid extra for that. The rooms are very small. I know this hotel was remodeled in the recent past, but it still looks like a cheap hotel in some aspects. It is definitely overpriced considering what you can get in the city for the same price.

Beautiful view
We couldn't have picked a better location for our first trip to Portland. We wanted views of the Willamette River, and we were right on top of it. I enjoyed sipping my morning tea watching the joggers, cyclists, and walkers on the park path. Just beyond them were the scullers on the river. Then the geese came flying in for a landing. It was easy to get to for our ride to pick us up. It was nice and quiet at night. The beds were awesome - very comfortable. The decoration is modern. The bathrooms nice with plenty of counter space. I did not have a problem with the lack of exhaust fan - the mirrors did not steam up.

Look for the weekly market at the top of the riverfront park - good art; great people-watching. We lucked into an arts and crafts fair in the riverfront park at this same location. Very entertaining and some beautiful work by local artists.

Great One Night Stay
My daughter and I spent one night at the Hotel 50. It was a great location, so near the transit lines and across the street from the Riverwalk. The restaurant was delicious for breakfast and the service was great. Very comfortable beds, our room faced the courtyard, and was quiet. Would definately return!

Great location & Convience
The hotel is located near the lovely Portland waterfront board walk area and a short and quick walk to the historic downtown area. Restaurants are a little sparse in the area but you can find 3 decent locations with in a block or two. Parking was expensive. It would be nice if it were included in the cost of the room or offered as a perk. Rooms were clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay.

Good Value in Downtown Portland
The staff were all very friendly. The room was on smallish side but OK and the bed was very comfortable. The location is one of the best parts of the hotel.

Cramped, stuffy and loud
Room was stuffy, air conditioners not able to be controlled by guests. Location is downtown, near the waterfront and close to a lot, but it's right next to very loud train tracks that run 5am-midnight. WARNING - Parking is $22/day. Don't be fooled by the "self-park" option. There are plenty of places to park around the city that only charge $10 for a full day. The shower doesn't have a door either. Maybe at Hotel Fifty you only get 50%?
