Hotel guests and regulars can mingle around the rooftop patio's glowing fire pits or relax in the restaurant's chic, modern interior.

Portland

The Portland Convention Center Red Lion is much like the others I've stayed in over the last year or two. The buildings are older and in need of repair. Single pane windows on a chilly February night didn't help. The bath tub was chipped and cracked and dirty with stains. The hotel has been cosmetically updated with floor covering and new paint, but it seemed like putting lipstick on a pig. Having the street car running past the hotel didn't help either. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but it's probably my last stay at a Red Lion for a while.

Red Lion Convention Center

The room was clean, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Since our luggage was delayed, the staff provided us with a few essentials such as toothpaste etc. The staff was also helpful with city information.. Overall a 5 plus star staff. There are two computer terminals in the lobby along with a printer. Free wifi in the rooms. Very convenient on the light rail line Easy to get from airport to hotel on the light rail. the light rail is $2.50 for a two hour pass, $5 for an all day pass (also good to use on the buses), and $2 for all day senior 65+ pass. It would be efficient to have a breakfast buffet but there is coffee in the room and the restaurant is open until 10:30 am and has quick service. Also the room rate was so reasonable so we could easily afford to pay for breakfast.

Nothing Phenomenal

Stayed here for a few reasons, 1. It was near where I needed to be 2. Initially the price was great $71 a night for a two queens 3. pictures online 4. Hotel restaurant lounge. I gave this two stars because they charged $14 a day for parking, the hours for the restaurant and lounge were not good, the majority of the staff seemed dead inside, lack of towels and the coffee in the room may have been the worst of ever had which is a shame considering the city portland has some of the best coffee around. CHARGING FOR PARKING! SERIOUSLY!

Fair Enough

The location was great! The room was nice. The heater seemed like it didn't warm the room enough and the worst part was they shut off the hot water for maintenance and it was a horrible cold shower!
