all in all is great, except the prime restaurant is well over price, ha, when you in bar make sure you don't the 18 years old of whiskey, included the tip it cost us $80 for 2 shots of whiskey, the lighting is so dark, we could not see how much it actually cost, until the waiter run after us that we realize we were short on the tap. go out to eat when you stay there.

Anniversary Trip

Hotel is in a great location. Close to many shops and restaurants, all within walking distance as well as soccer stadium. Close to freeway access which we used to visit Mt Hood and surrounding areas. 90 minutes from the coast. Hotel was nice, staff very friendly. Good breakfast buffet. Only issue is $34 night for valet parking or $27 night for self parking. Would recommend.

Great hotel in awesome location

If you are looking for a hotel in downtown Portland, you probably realized they are expensive! When we picked Embassy Suites we were really just trying to find a decent hotel downtown without spending a lot. However, we got so much more than we bargained for. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL. It is located in a historic building and the lobby is amazing. The rooms have all been redone and are sleek but comfortable. The location could not be better and the service was 5 star. Who would expect luxury at an Embassy Suites?

Excellent stay

We stayed 3 nights at this location. Room did not have a good view, but I did not request one. Room was always whisper quiet at night and cleaned spotlessly. Great location to all trimet busses and trains. Easy walking to lots of restaurants and sights. Breakfast and evening reception make this a great value

Great spot to stay

Had a great experience, except for receiving some pushback from the staff one night. Each night, I called down and asked for a knife so I could portion out food I had in my room. The first two nights, it was sent up without hesitation. The third night, I spent 20 minutes being passed back and forth from the front desk to the restaurant, with everyone exclaiming that it "wasn't their job". Never did get that knife, due to Amanda at the front desk. Wasn't a problem with anyone else I asked. That said, it was generally a great place to stay.
