very romantic getaway
Had a amazing time at the Crown every employee was top notch professional and extremely friendly because it was our anniversary they upgraded our room. And its location was fantastic light rail a couple hundred yards away and a 5$ cab ride to most near by destination's. A weekend not soon forgotten oh and the bed in our room was like heaven haven't slept that well in a long time.

Average value hotel
Crowne Plaza (Downtown Portland)....wifi in room did not work; room was clean and generally well serviced. Overall, I thought it was overpriced for the value provided. Also, no store in hotel for purchasing forgotten drug items (e.g., toothpaste)....nearest drug store was 3 blocks away (and neighborhood is not great for walking at night). Would stay there if room rate was $120 or less....

great stay!
Great stay...my son and i went to portland to visit the OMSI. Enjoyed our stay...clean and comfortable room. Didn't like having to pay $15 for parking...could see maybe in a downtown hotel but not here. My son and I also enjoyed their pool. The area was clean and well kept. Love the fact that they had a Keurig in each room and also walking distance to some family and fast food restraunts.

Overnight Getaway
From check in to check out we were treated with respect by all the friendly hotel staff. Every person that we interacted with made us feel welcome and although this was our first stay they made us feel like we were regular guests that they were happy to see again. The highlight for my wife and I was the fantastic food we ordered from room service. The prices were so reasonable we were both surprised with how delicious both of the meals were. It was also just a short walk to the Max Light Rail line into downtown Portland. I know where we are staying for our next get away :)

Too often traveling
Staff didn't do it for me
When setting up transportation to airport, male concierge was incredibly firm about transport leaving exactly when time scheduled. That day i had a flight change so when i came in for evening, @10:30ish i guess, i set up later time for shuttle as well as wake up call. Got the wake up call, got down there for shuttle having departed earlier than scheduled. Didn't like how was handled (true, there were 3 people trying to check out) really, there was nothing done but to wait until next shuttle departed- which i did. Made flight, last one before they closed the door, so i suppose all is well that ends well, but definately not dependable.

No better hotel, review from experienced traveler
I travel A LOT and realy pay attention to detail. I expect things to be clean and I also expect excellent customer service. I had a really comofrtable stay while I was at CP. I was attending a show at the convention center and it was a quick 5 min walk (do not let anyone convince you that you need a shuttle or cab). You'll kick yourself later. Its also right near the train that goes everywhere. You're right smack near the mall (great for tax-free Made in Portland shopping), Chinatown, and the very awesome Saturday Market. They also provided free transport all over town! Couldn't have been better. Also, great pool.
