Great for trips to see the Blazers!
My husband and I had a great time at this hotel. It was about 4 minutes driving distance from the Rose Quarter and right off I-5, which is very convenient. Parking is a little expensive at $18/night, but it was safely parked in a secured garage, so I believe it was worth it. Hotel provides free wi-fi!

Great Location
The Hotel was everything we expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. There is some noise from traffic, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. We missed not having a refridgerator in the room. Dinner at the restaurant was superb!

Short trip
Stayed two nights, nice hotel, but not much parking and expensive for it. Great location, since it's not downtown it's about 100 bucks cheaper, but close enough to the main public transport that it didn't matter. Portlant trimet goes to and from the airport and downtown and stops about two blocks from this hotel. Not a lot of good food nearby, you'll have to go downtown for that. My only complaint is the walls are paper thin. I thought my neighbors were IN our room, I could hear them even closing their drapes. Overall, I'd definitely stay again.

Take the trimet light rail to dowtown at happy hour. Portland's big secret is the amazing happy hour food. It's much more affordable, but the size of regular dinner entrees, and almost every place has it. Also, food carts!

Extended Family Weekend
We had a wonderful experience here. We were traveling with two smaller children. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was ideal. We rode the Max or walked anywhere we needed from the hotel. The rooms were roomy and had everything we needed in them. The breakfast buffet was perfect to eat at before we headed out for the day. The pool was a bit chilly, but that was the only complaint. We would stay here again for sure!!

Watch out for the parking!
Overall, a nice place, quiet rooms and friendly staff but there is no parking at the hotel except by valet. It costs $19/night. LAME! We parked at a pay-to-park a block east and paid only $8 for the time we needed to pay the city. The block surrounding the hotel somehow has pay-to-park times until 10PM! LAME! Anyone staying here who doesn't want to pay for nothing should just park one block east on the street and pay $1/hour from 8am-6pm M-S.

Good Base for Exploring Portland
The hotel served as a good "home base" for exploring Portland and the surrounding area. We looked at staying at hotels in the main downtown area, but decided to try something just outside downtown near the convention center because it was cheaper, but just as convenient. The hotel is conveniently located to a major light rail transfer station that takes you into downtown for free in just a few minutes. We walked to and from the station at night (with young kids) and felt it was safe. We were coming in from out-of-town with a car and found parking at the hotel to be a bit of a hassle. The valet option is probably the best to avoid the hassle and at $19 not much more than self-parking ($15). The self-parking only works if your timing is right (there are more rooms than parking spaces). The staff are very aware of the parking problems and try to help. We considered parking on-street since we knew we would take the car on day-trips and would not need parking all day, but at our first on-street parking space across from the hotel we found glass obviously from a car window that had been smashed at some point. So, we opted for the valet parking. The pool is slightly heated, which was nice. The two-bed room a decent size, the room quiet, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms clean. There was a microwave that could be used in the lobby, which was nice for heating up breakfast I bought at the store (there is no free continental breakfast). I wish the hotel room had a small refrigerator though. For the price, location, amenities (pool, fireplace in the lobby area, computers to use) and nice staff, this is a good deal and if we were to return to Portland, I would consider this hotel (though I'd bring a cooler!).
