Light Rail Right Next Door
The hotel is a nice, business/adult focused hotel; this is not a family destination. What we loved about this property is it's proximity to Portland's excellent light rail. The stop is about one block away. It's then a quick ride to downtown, the convention center, a least two malls, etc.. There's a lot of stuff along the light rail routes. Coming down from Seattle, getting to the hotel is easy too. We didn't use our car once between check-in and check-out. It's amazing how much stress being car free alleviates, especially for trips downtown. Didn't check out the hotel food/bar, maybe next time.

Love Portland
Disappointed that I paid so much.
[...] This was very disappointing.The hotel is interesting in that it is somewhat starkly furnished, rooms included. If you take the stairs, you see extra matresses, other extra items in the stairwells. Our room had a big stain on the carpet as you entered, only one chair even though it was a big room and had 2 queen size beds. The chair was dirty, obviously hadn't been wiped off. The pool and workout rooms were nice; we had to ask for pool towels as there were none in the pool area. For as much as we spent a night, it was rather disappointing. I think we could have done better for the cost.

Trendy, but basic
Fun lobby. Convenient computers for airline checkin. Great decor. Bed was hard and lumpy, though.

Needs a real restaurant. Room was good.
Sleep, eat, watch TV, shower, sit in the lounge and listen to the band. A real restaurant for dining and breakfast.

Super Single Mom with Teenager
Trendy and Friendly
This was perfect for traveling with a teenager. We were greeted in the lobby area with cheers of people playing the Wii and the sound of the pool table. The modern decor was an instant hit. Kudos to the staff, who were friendly and professional.

Very enjoyable for everyone in the famil
The hotel was conveniently located for our short trip. The express services, access to airport departure/arrival information and ability to check-in helped us greatly. The design and amenities were very impressive to adults and young adult children in our party

Great HOTEL..ultra Modern!!
The Aloft hotel is Modern hotel with every amentity. Cool rooms, Bar , Fitness center and pool. I welcomed with a smile and every question answerd perfectly. The location is great for the travler. 2 Minutes from the airport and located with a really nice shopping center with great food and shops......All was Perfect at the Aloft...
