Hotel Skyler Rooms
- Premium - King
- Premium King offers one king bed. Fresh and fun, the eclectic mix of mid-century and modern in the king room will remind you of your Aunt Rosies lake cottage, but kicked up one very big notch. With plenty of room on the streamlined parsons desk for work or snacks, and miles of organic cotton on the king size bed, youll fall asleep dreaming of simpler times and awake energized for all your twenty-first-century endeavors.
- Premium - Suite
- Premium Suite offers one king bed. Room to move and space to groove. Traveling alone? There's not only a peaceful bedroom with a king size bed and flat-panel TV, there's also a sensational sitting room, decorated with freewheeling panache (and another TV), plus a clean-lined parsons desk with a Herman Miller chair. Family or friends along? The spacious, captivating king suites let you stretch out, breathe in, and dream big.
- Premium - Double
- Premium Double offers two queen beds. The unique cut-out headboards on the two comfy queen size beds signal a departure from ho-hum, and the rest of this spacious room follows suit. Taking its cues from nature, the queen room delights with vibrant punches of color, pattern, and texture. The contemporary bathroom, with its walk in shower, provides a soothing spa-like refuge. No two rooms are alike try them all and then ask for your favorite when you visit the next!
- 2_Storey - Suite
- 2 Storey Suite offers one king bed and one twin bed and one sofa bed. At the nearby Golisano Childrens Hospital, a two-story tree house with a gallery, solarium, performance space, and chapel comforts and inspires young patients and their families. In honor of this special place, half the revenues generated from the inventive Tree House suites will be donated to the hospital. Tree House suites feature a king size bed in a loft sleeping area, sitting room below with pull-out sofa and second flat-panel TV, and that uplifted feeling you get when you help someone who really needs it. (In advance, thanks!)

Syracuse Sleepover
The Hotel Skyler is a wonderful place for Syracuse University parents to book for their overnight visits. It is refreshingly spotless and it's sustainable concepts are earth friendly for those who are "carbon-footprint conscience". The staff is helpful and the location is walking distance to campus. The only things missing is a free beverage service for the Hotel's guests. Having to pay at the "Bar/Cafe" for a cup of coffee in the morning (although it was good) made me feel "nickled and dimed". Room service would also be a nice but, given the restored nature of the building it is understandably missing.

Very Nice
Excellent location for our uses (we were there to tour colleges in Syracuse, so less than a mile from campuses). Very clean and comfortable, an inviting building. We were within easy walking distance of good food. The hotel could use better directional signs to its parking lot -- the hotel sign is seen just past the turn in, and since the hotel is situated on a one way street, we had to circle the block to get into the lot (it didn't help matters that we happened to be driving in blinding snow). Also, a sauna/hot tub/pool would be a welcome addition.

Great For College Visit
Upon landing at Syracuse airport, I called for free shuttle service to pick me up and bring me to the Hotel. The shuttle did come to pick me up, an hour and a half later. I strongly recommend that you have the shuttle schedule it's arrival time in advance and no later than 30 minutes after your scheduled flight arrival time! The 1 shuttle van services 3 different hotels in the university area. This was the only glitch. The highest recommendation I can make to you, if you are taking the shuttle service, is to ask the driver "Bruce From The Cuse" anything you want to know about syracuse and what to do for entertainment and dining. Yes, his name is "Bruce from the Cuse". If you call him by that name, you will receive even more special attention! (He knows everything!) My daughter and I arrived at the hotel, which is a renovated historical building, and was very pleased with the comfort and modern designed decor! I recommend a suite, in the event that you are confined to your room due to heavy snow. The suite gives you space and separation from your fellow guest, thus resulting in nobody killing one another. LOL! There were not too many amenities offered by the hotel besides the shuttle service. They had fresh coffee brewed in the morning located near the front desk. You can enjoy a cup, for the cost of about $1.85 a cup. The front desk person was nice enough to give me a cup for free. (Please ask in advance of booking about which amenities are available to you for free as a guest). Fresh linen, clean rooms and very kind and helpful staff members! Have a drink at the bar from the cool bartender on duty. Tip them, they deserve it! Drink at the bar or in front of the roaring fireplace in the hotel lobby. Hotel is perfectly located for Syracuse University college visits, auditions etc.. You can walk to anywhere with the exception of the south side of the campus. There are stores and restaurants all around you. Bars and Syracuse Stage theater. I highly recommend staying at the Skyler! A wonderful comfortable experience for me and my daughter!

Short walk from hotel
If visiting the University or the small community of stores, restaurants and Theaters in the area, there is no need for a rental car or taxi. You can walk or use the free hotel shuttle all day to most places in Syracuse. Their is no additional charge and they will pick you up and drop you off all day to multiple locations if needed! Tip my friend "Bruce from the Cuse!" He is a living breathing travel guide and will give you valuable information and advice!

Very good hotel and great location near University
Took a family trip to Syracuse to see a game at the Dome and for my daughter to see the campus. Hotel Skyler is an easy walk to campus and has free/ample parking. Very friendly front desk and bar staff. Comfortable, clean hotel and very interesting building. Only one complaint: rooms could have better soundproofing. Had rambuncitious kids in two rooms near us running around the hallway until well past 11:30 pm and couldn't sleep. Called front desk to complain. They tried, but didn't do much good. With that said, would stay there again.

Beautiful Hotel!!!!
The Hotel was in a central location in the city, close to the college is what we needed and it fit the bill! The room and the hotel a beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff was nice. The only reason i didnt give the hotel 5 stars is they had no coffee makers in the rooms! You had no choice but to buy coffee in the lobby/bar. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The beds were great and the setup was nice. The hotel is really cool!! And "green" too!

A great place to get away.
From the moment you walk in the door, the staff is friendly and helpful. The eco friendly hotel is close to all the action of downtown with the amenities of a high class resort. It was worth every penny.

Great Hotel -- Sustainable Culture
This is an exquisite hotel in the heart of Syracuse, close to Crouse Hospital and only a few blocks from Armory Square. It is a Leed Certified Platinum building and the entire service culture is built around sustainable practice. From check in, to the room key serving as the gateway to room power, to sustainable foods and beverages. It may be a tad pricey, but the rooms and service are first class.

About one mile -- four blocks -- to Armory Square where you can find brewpubs, a traditional Irish experience, Thai, Indian, Chinese and standard American fare. Also Upstate NY's largest IMAX Theater. A great little section of town.
