Wellington Hotel

Is the perfect distance to everything, I really enjoy my visit.

It's very basic. I got upgraded to a suite, which was very roomy, so I don't know what the regular rooms are like. The suite had lots of room, and it was very clean, but don't expect fancy anything. The staff were very nice. The Greek restaurant downstairs was terrific.

We were checked in fast and not hassled.The hotel lobby was packed and it was still organized and professionally orchestrated.

Overall, a good experience. The best part is the location (proximity to Central Park especially). Rooms are a bit small in size, but I guess that is normal for Manhattan hotels. Staff is very helpful. Not much to offer in terms of in-room dining, but there are plenty of eating establishments close to the hotel.

Great location and they upgraded me to a larger room that was nicely remodeled. I have stayed here before and have gotten good deal . Especially for mid town manhattan.

The staff is nice and the location is great. I stayed here once before and it was Ok, but this time it was a disappointment. Unfortunately, the lobby seems chaoitic. The elevators are old, claustrophobic and slow. The room was very hot. I checked in at 5pm and the room was not cleaned from the previous person. The next morning half of the floor was under construction and I was walking on plastic in the hallway and not informed that this would be the case. I would only recommend as a price performer, but not to expect much.

I loved it! The Hotel is well situated. The place is clean. My only issue was that the bathroom had no heater and so was very cold (in an extremely cold weather spell). Again this was minor as leaving the door the heat from the room kept it usable. But LOVED being there!

the room was a good value, but we found the room way too small to move around. the bathroom was like a college dormitory bathroom. the water pressure was way too high, which mean the stream coming from the shower head was way too hard, like needles, and the shower curtain flailed around the whole time you're in the shower, which got EVERYTHING in the bathroom soaking wet. the housekeepers did not replace shampoo or soap the entire 7 days i was there, I had to go downstairs to request more. also, the heater/air conditioner did not have any buttons or controls, so we either had to open the window when it got too hot, or close the window when it was too cold... but those are just minute things. I found the location extremely convenient to Times Square.

Can't beat location for touring NY. Lobby is nice. Old school feel with bellman and safes behind the reception desk. Rooms themselves are in need of a lot of work. Very worn carpet, old fixtures, paint needs to be touched up everywhere. Staff was nice, owners should show some support and start rehabbing this place.

I liked the Wellington and would stay there again. Friendly and reliable staff. Great location. Only negative is there is no gym. But no problem because I got plenty of exercise walking around Manhattan.
