I stayed at the Wellington Feb 2013 the room was clean,large and very comfortable ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The price was great especially for the city....

The room needs to be updated, it was cold and outside the window was very noisy with machinery.

Great Location
Front desk staff excellent. Upgraded us to a King room, but went downhill after that. The cold water fauset did not work. The room was SO HOT and the adjustments on the thermostat did not work. We had to sleep with the windows open, (thank God it was able to work) all night. On the 5th floor, a little nervous about leaving window open. Sorry, but NO 3 STAR.

Great location
Everything was fine except for two issues. The heat could not be adjusted, so the room was a bit warm for a cold day in February. We were in a room with two double beds and there was a large mirror in the middle of the wall. Through that space we could hear everything in the other room, even quiet conversation. No problem unless you want to sleep at midnight!

Worst room in NYC
We stayed in room 726 and it was the worst. We just needed a room for the night and it was horrible. The noise level outside our window was loud, the room was cold with no control for heat and you had to sit sideways on the toilet. Will never stay in this Hotel again. Would not recommend this hotel!

The staff is nice and the location is great. I stayed here once before and it was Ok, but this time it was a disappointment. Unfortunately, the lobby seems chaoitic. The elevators are old, claustrophobic and slow. The room was very hot. I checked in at 5pm and the room was not cleaned from the previous person. The next morning half of the floor was under construction and I was walking on plastic in the hallway and not informed that this would be the case. I would only recommend as a price performer, but not to expect much.

Great location
I enjoyed my stay in New York which was made all the better for this hotels great location, from my bed I could see the lights of Times square yet just a few minutes walk from Central park. Subway stations outside the door and deli's all around the hotel giving a great choice of breakfast at varying prices. If you can't afford a 5star hotel then this type of hotel is just for you, could not complain about anything.
