Radiating history from its walls, the Wellington Hotel New York?built in 1901?stands apart from the fast pace of modern city life surrounding it. The plush lobby is decked out in rich tones and intricate murals, while focal chandeliers give the interiors a classical ambience.  If you are here on business, the hotel?s central location and 24-hour business center will cater to your every need. Midtown Manhattan is full of excellent restaurants; gourmets would do well to try the Wellington?s delicious plates of Greek mezze at the Molyvos restaurant, or the Park Cafe's informal all-day dining options.

Rate average but overall was above.

Hotel location very desirable with respect to theater district. For the price I thought it was a great deal. Would stay there again. The transportation package offered was very expensive. I went to AirLink which was $30 per person for van. Your offered price was $100 per person. That being said very happy with the whole package. To get a room that we had in the location offered (Wellington) was a super deal.

Visiting family

Only one elevator was working. Getting down from the 10th floor was inconvenient and time consuming to say the least. Also, ice was not available on our floor! Other then these two things our experience was good.

Sharing New York with two Teenagers

[...] The hotel is in a prime location and the staff was amazing. We had booked a deluxe room and were given a suite. Unlike other commemts I've read, everthing was in working order.(microwave, refrig, air) Suite very quite, with two new flat screen TV's and a new sink in bathroom. The downside to all of this was the furniture, beds, carpet and linens. Must be updated/changed to keep customers. would pay more and highly recommend to others when this happens.

Old and elegant

Very special occasion, college graduation. Old and elegant room, clean bath. Had suite and room with sofa bed had very noisey airconditioning. Bed was softer than I prefer, too. Usually stay in chain hotel, enjoyed the old fashion feel of the room

Great location for the price

This hotel is in a great location and close to all attractions. We went to several Broadway shows and it was an easy walk. The hotel is surrounded by places to eat and shopping. A short walk to Rockefeller Center,Times Square and the Diamond District. The rooms are spacious but could use a little updating. There were loud noises at night and we couldn't figure out if it was in the pipes, heating system or ouside somewhere. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

The Subway entrance is just outside the side door entrance and we didn't know that until our 3rd day there.

Great location

Located in a safe, tourist-filled area. Small rooms are to be expected in NYC and this is no exception. Furnishings are a little old, but this hotel is a great value for the traveler who is out sightseeing most of the day anyways.

"we don't accept military IDs"

the hotel room itself was a decent size, decently cozy. though, i did have a problem with checking in with a military ID. in fact, i did not check in with a military ID and instead had to get another name added to the reservation so that the person could use his driver's license.

Great location, just so hotel

Hotel is just were you need it to be when visiting New York as tourist, and at a reasonable price. Hotel rooms are dated, and the hotel is a bit rough, but clean, and employees are friendly. Don't expect much more.
