Perfect for the tourist!
The Wellington was well-located two blocks from Central Park and just off Broadway, and the staff was helpful. We'd been upgraded to a room on the 23rd floor, which had a view of Central Park, an added bonus. Although the room was fairly small, it was nicely decorated. The bathroom was tiny, but I believe this is typical of older NYC hotels. It was quiet, clean and we had no problems (except for a blown fuse when I plugged in the iron). It was fixed immediately. The attached cafe was a good value for breakfast--very busy, but the service and turnover were quick.

Quaint hotel in a nice location
You feel like you've stepped backwards in time. Not at all in a bad way - the old world decoration and attention to detail are beautiful. Plus you're in a fun neighborhood.

within blocks from times square, right by subway for easy transportation, 30 min from airport, very close to central park, in general a great location to stay at

Excellent location!!
We were close to everything! The broadway shows, times square, central park and even fifth avenue! The hotel had a great vintage feel, and our room was very nice, I look forward to coming back!

Great Location
We were so close to every attraction & could purchase tour tikts at attached gift shop. Rooms ere small but we were never in them Our only concern was no ice machines We had to purchase ice at the coffee shop(50cents) Would definitley stay again

Rooms were small and had dated decor, but the location of this hotel is second to none for New York activities. Would definitely stay here again!

great location
room was very clean and comfortable - i was just using it as a place to sleep so my needs were minimal but I was very pleased with the room. the staff was very helpful and pleasant when approached. the location was perfect for getting anywhere uptown, midtown or downtown. the noise from the street was hardly noticable.

short to medium walk to most Midtown attractions I enjoyed breakfast every morning in Central Park which was only 2 blocks from the hotel. Subway entrances very close too making it easy to get downtown and uptown. The best deal was a coffee and bagel from one of the carts at the subway entrances.

Very helpful staff, great location, Great Rooms
I've stayed in New York City before and this was the nicest hotel for the price we paid. I was surprised at the size of the room (Very big) compared to other hotels in the city. There are several subway stations nearby and Times Square is a nice walk away. This hotel is central to a lot of great city sites. I will return again.

Convenient, good access to subwayand entertainment, clean and homey
The room was very quiet as it was on the top floor. It is in walking distance of the theater district and Lincoln Center. It is close to several different subway lines. While the room was small, it was not tiny. The bathroom was fine. I would recommend it.
