Hotel combining grandeur with an air of intimacy in midtown Manhattan
The Warwick Hotel in midtown Manhattan was built in 1926 and its European elegance and vintage charm provide a quiet oasis in the city. It is close to some of New York's best attractions including MoMA, Broadway and Central Park. The Warwick Hotel retains the grandeur of its past but its facilities are modern. There is a business center, fitness center, bar, and restaurant. 54 restaurant features stunning murals. Painted in 1937 by the American illustrator Dean Cromwell, they provide a visually stunning backdrop for diners. Elsewhere guests enjoy 24-hour room service in champagne and beige rooms evoking golden age of Hollywood glamour.

- Murals on 54, the hotel's refurbished dining room, features innovative continental cuisine with international influences, with a delectable menu consisting of mouth-watering fresh grilled dishes and a variety of fine seafood with strong French, Spanish and Mediterranean accents. The dining rooms' fresh design accentuates the historic murals painted by Dean Cornwell, known as the "Dean of American Illustrators." Cornwell was commissioned by William Randolph Hearst in 1937 to paint murals for The Raleigh Room, then the original restaurant inside this apartment hotel. These murals are now completely restored.

Old style with good MoMA, 5th Ave & Central Park
The Warwick is an old style (think Art Deco 1930s) hotel on the smae street as Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) - about 50 metres away. 5th Ave is within walking distance with up market shops (think underground Apple store, Rolex, and top fashion brands etc). Also 10 mins to south end of Central Park. Times Square takes longer by foot than it looks on the map - allow 25 mins. Small bathrooms, small lifts, small foyer/reception area but clean bright decor overall. Street noise was not a problem.

Get a 7 day metrocard for the subway to save time walking. Distances and time to walk is more than it looks on map, especially if you want to go from Warwick hotel to Ground Zero/Wall St for example.

Short trip to NYC
Very classy old hotel. The room was good sized by NY standards, nice bathroom and closet. We appreciated the in-room umbrella for guests. The bed was really comfortable, nice quality linens. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is b/c we do not like to be charged extra for internet. Other than that everything was really great. Very helpful front desk staff and valets.

Excellent experience for first time to New York
Our trip was to celebrate a special birthday. It was our first time to the City and didn't know what to expect. The Hotel was perfect as it was traditional and comfortable. It was also situated perfectly for sight seeing and shopping. We would definatley return again and recommend to friends and family.

Awesome Experience
The location was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have been more pleased with our room which was very spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room was spotless. Room service was speedy and delicious.

Great location
Hotel is located in a fantastic location. The rooms were larger than expected. Overall, a fantastic experience. I would consider staying at the Warwick next visit.

Great hotel!
The hotel experience was Awsome! Really nice rooms really well located. You can walk from there to many places! Central Park! Times S., MoMA. The only thing I think they need to improve is the Internet acces, is not free wifi and its expensive to get the service! It's my only complaint!

If you want to be at the heart of New York it doesn't get much better than this. Just off 5th Avenue one way and Broadway the other the place is buzzing like nowhere else on Earth. The staff at the Warwick were brilliant and the hotel was spotless. We didn't eat at the hotel but it looked fine. The bar was sometimes so busy you couldn't get a table which was a shame and be prepared to pay for wifi (I think thats a bit mean). Cheap meal tip. Go to the Halal Guys street vendors on the corner of 53rd and 6th (the long lines will give them away) for chicken and rice $6 and stunning....

Perfect location, able to walk anywhere we wanted to go subway very close if needed, great resturants close by from expensive to cheap close to broadway plays and times square. It is a great place to stay.
