Tribeca Grand Hotel

The Tribeca Grand Hotel is beautifully located for my needs. It is a short walk to the Canal Street subway lines. An easy walk to City Hall, and Broadway is one block over, with all the great shopping and restaurants in the area. But what really makes the hotel special is the staff. I have been visiting NYC on business every week for a few months, staying at various hotels. I found the Tribeca Grand surprisingly lackluster in comparison to much less expensive places. The room was small and very dark. The bed was small. There was no luggage stand, so I pulled out the ironing board and used that. The bathroom had no counters and the sink had rounded edges, so there was no place to put anything down except on the toilet. Ick. The staff were all very gracious and helpful, no complaints there. The bar had interesting cocktails and a talented dj paying bluesy rock, which I liked.

Trying out a new hotel can be full of unpleasant surprises. The Tribecca Grans hotel was the opposite, in every way the staff facilitated the success of my trip, from turning the music down in the lobby sitting area so I could have a quiet conversation, to dashing to make sure my poor spilled on sweater made it to the dry cleaners. The hotel was lovely, the staff fantastic. I think I've found my "favorite" place to stay when doing business in New York.

The hotel itself is very quaint and the location is great however the rugs in the hotel and the sheets in the room are going to need updating in the near future. Not horrible but I did notice. For the price we paid and the location it was well worth it.

I had a very comfortable stay while on a business trip. The 24 hr. room service is great, though I didn't use it. The gym was small and had very few machines, but worked for my needs and had a bowl of apples.

Location was very nice. Room was standard, not a fan of the bathroom.

This is a classy hotel with a perfect blend of style and charm. The staff were very helpful and courteous starting with the welcome Champagne at checkin. It's an open atrium 8 story atrium hotel with comfortable lounging areas in the lobby. The room was well furnished and stylish with an iMac at the desk. It was also spacious with a comfortable bed, huge picture windows, but curiously no artwork in the room. The bathroom was also roomy, but the tub was pretty utilitarian and the curved stainless steel vanity could use a bit more space. The location was really right on the border of Tribeca and Soho but just enough south of Canal to be out of the craziness. We would definitely look to return in the future.

Manhattan below 23rd St. has become a hipster theme park from river to river, but TriBeCa is still something of an oasis, so this hotel is ideally situated. The atrium design has the potential for noise infiltrating the rooms, but the doors and ventilation system keep the rooms absolutely quiet. My AT&T cell phone didn't work in the room, but on the plus side internet service is free. I'll definitely come back.

The staff is wonderfully attentive without being annoying. Great for a romantic weekend away.

Friendly very helpful staff. Room smaller than one might expect at this price. Limited restaurant, on weekends this basically a party club. Odd courtyard, like some mid-Western Marriot. Good room service. Got all I asked for quickly.
