Midtown Manhattan hotel close to the Jacob K Javits Convention Centre
The Travel Inn Hotel is located in midtown Manhattan close to the Jacob K Javits Convention Center which hosts many trade shows and conventions. The contemporary décor gives the hotel a sophisticated ambience. The hotel has a free garage, a swimming pool, a fitness center and tour desk to assist guests in booking tickets. The hotel was built in 1963 and has retained its sense of charm with rooms that have the feel of a more genteel past. Acceptable For Sight Seeing in Manhattan
I didn't like that there was no thermostat in the room to control the heat, and that the water was not hot for bathing. Other wise, the room was OK/

horrible cockroach infested hotel
what a horrible nitemare of a place!!! woke up to use bathroom in middle of the nite only to find a 3 in cockroach in bathroom i killed it an took dwn to front desk they say oh we never had this problem so went back to room to pack up an looked under bed had roach traps under both beds an under heating system...hmmm thought they didnt have a problem?? so now i risk bringing them back home...the emplyoyee offered nothing to take care of this matter..

Travel Inn NYC
The Travel Inn is a hidden treasure. It has wonderful amenities including a fitness center, seasonal pool and a deli next door. Free parking is a plus. It is close to the theater district. Port Authority Bus Depot and Subway stations are just a short walk away from the front door.

good location
clean comfortable room. emailed the hotel to ask about transfers before we left uk, with no reply! room info at hotel said tea and coffee as room service, was told no this was not correct. There was no other tea or coffee facilities. Good location would recommend the market diner around the corner for breakfast.

Hotel with great location for Broadway access
Excellent location with free parking. Very anonymous service and problems with the bath. The facilities seem distinctly old. Overall adequate experience.

NY First Timer
Great Location - little Tired
The very friendly staff were ready for our arrival and no forms to fill in, just a signature. The room was clean but very dated. It was ready for renovation, some wallpaper was peeling off, the shower head was hanging out the wall, two bulbs did not work and the heating was too noisy to keep on for long. Nevertheless we enjoyed our three night stay as it was clean an comfortable. The location on 42nd Street could not have been better. Turn a blind eye to these little imperfections and you will have a great time.

Travel Inn Review
Was happy to find an affordable, safe, clean, and nice room for my son and I on our short trip to NYC. The free parking caught my eye and was a big factor in why we chose Travel Inn. It was easy to find, and located near what we wanted to visit. Thanks to the staff for helping us use public transportation,
