The Time Hotel

loved it. friendly staff...great location in times square!

We were greeted by the front desk staff when we arrived and it was a fantastic first impression. Unfortunately though, that's where it started to slide. Our first issue was with the toilet which continually clogged and it took a long time for the staff to come and fix it. The next issue was the temperature control in the room followed by the exhaustingly long wait for the elevator. We ended up taking the stairs until the door handle had broken preventing us from accessing the stairs....a serious fire hazard!!! We also do NOT recommend Senafina the hotel restaurant at least for breakfast. I was threatened by the waiter to tip when I didn't want to because they overcharged us for items my pregnant wife ordered but never received. They made it sound like they understood when we said, despite not getting the stuff we no longer wanted it but they still charged us. The location was PERFECT however and if you want NOTHING more than a place to put your head down then I would recommend this hotel. If you want any kind of hotel amenity however, do not stay here. For the cost you will get much more anywhere else without the hassle.

Location was perfect. I booked it on my drive to NYC so a bit last minute. It is quite cramped. And if you want to use the elevator in the AM you have to wait a long time! But most people come to NYC not so much for the hotels but for what you do while you're there, so being close to the "action" is great. Definitely not a bad place to stay. Very cramped though.

Staff were friendly, kind, helpful always. Enjoyed our stay. Something you can't do anything about but there was definitely an "escort" and her companion making good time as the elevator door opened. Hopefully the four kids were unaware of what was happening.

The hotel is within the Time Square - Theater district which was very convenient. Although the room was small it has very modern interior and still had space to move around.

Booked this last minute on the same day we were headed to NYC. The A/C was a bit odd - at times very cold and at times a decent temperature. In general the room was quite cramped but I guess this is the heart of NYC. The only frustration per se was waiting for the elevators during the day... otherwise it is a great location and was budget-friendly considering the last minute booking.

My girlfriend and I had such an amazing time in NYC. The Time Hotel was in a perfect location that allowed for us to walk around the city and come and go as we pleased. The Lounge was very nice and convenient with a Pool Room located in the back. Very reasonable priced drinks compared to what is around you. I have read other Reviews about the rooms being too small. However, this is the City what would you expect? The room was more than big enough for my girlfriend and I. The room and Hotel itself were very clean and I was pleased with the hotel staff. The Hotel was a little on the pricey side for one night. But given the location I suppose it was a reasonable price. Overall, the stay was great and I would definitely be returning again.

Clean, friendly, good location, small rooms. Great for theater district and subways.
