Good Location ans amenities

The rooms are nice and bed very comfortable. There was a party on the street just outside our room every night we didn't mide and took its as part of the New York experience. Housekeeping didn't make up our room 2 days ever with a request placed on the door. Hot tub and sun room very nice. Bar staff exceptional.

excellent urban getaway

This was our honeymoon. We had a pleasant experience with a lovely room. The room was bigger than any other ny hotel we seen. The cleanliness was fantastic it was soooo clean and comfortable. The bar staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming and Eddie made a mean cocktail. Jose' was very professional and friendly and all others in the bar and cleaners were.lovely. the only negative with this hotel were the cold rude front of house/reception. The one who stood out in my mind was Erin Irish by name but not by nature I dreaded having to ask anything whenshe was on the desk.

A real find!

We needed a place to stay for an unexpected trip to NY and the hotel we normally stay at was under renovation. I saw the reviews online and the price was right. It was clean and welcoming (to us - a straight couple), the restaurant food and cocktails were really delicious and creative, room was so clean and modern - just what we needed. Only recommendation would be for better lighting or a lit mirror in the bathroom for putting on makeup. Also, no subways nearby so you might want to use the nearby buses or just take a long walk to the subway. Thank you to the staff. We'll be back.

Not 4 Star

This hotel is not a 4 Star property, despite it's billing. The rooms are clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the amenities and service you expect from a 4 star hotel were missing. Rooms weren't made up until late afternoon. Also used the spa. Very amateur. No robes for massage. The massage room is attached to the co-ed locker room, and the locker room shower is wide open. There is little security, and noise levels from other guests wandering around the courtyard are high all night.

FIRST EXPERIENCE IN NYC

My son and I were here for his 16th birthday, We could not ask for a better place to stay. The staff was so helpful in every aspect. The decor was beautiful. I really don't understand these other reviews with complaints, our room was spotless every day, The staff was always on the floor to greet us and help with any questions we had. We arrived early and they had no problems checking us in early . I requested a room away from the club and they accomidated without any hesitation. I am looking forward to coming again.

Noise and insects problems

This place is directly above the club. After seeing all the noise complaints online, I requested a quieter room at check-in, but I felt they just ignored the request. Come the weekend, the bass was thumping in my room and they didn't have another room to move me to until the next day. The new room had no noise problem at all. However, there was a dead cockroach in my towel. I left it on the floor and the next day I found the same cockroach in my towel, but the towel was folded up neatly. I am led to believe the towels aren't washed and just folded up.

Loved This Hotel

The hotel was great. great staff, great area. there were only 2 things i found wrong. the room is smaller in person. and the shower water spills out in the opening where there is no glass. it is a cute shower, but the shower is not big enough for that type of look. other than that, the club was awesome and big. the look of the hotel is beautiful. i loved the art work. the servers were fantastic. i got to the gym once and usually hotel gyms are not that big. the spa was excellent. i would return here.

Nice City Break

I have nothing really bad to say about my stay at The OUT, the hotel is lovely and the staff were attentive. Stayed in a deluxe double room. My only gripe was the 'mood' music playing outside my room, not having a kettle and no real wardrobe so we had to live out of our suitcases. But saying that, it is stil a nice place to stay and I would book again.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Ceilo in the Meatpacking District on a Monday night if you like house music and being around a local crowd is a lot of fun. And do Brunch on Sunday in Harlem!

Fantastic for everyone!

All the staff were so helpful, personable and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and together they provided a 'safe base' to explore the city from, with such a warm 'homecoming' at the end of exhausting but fascinating days out! Not only that, all the staff we came in contact with seemed to genuinely enjoy being there too, which added to our enjoyment! Also, the local art work being exhibited was a delight! Creative and inspiring, added to the whole atmosphere, great idea and long may it continue!!

Turn right out of the hotel and the Greek restaurant across the road is real value for money. Authentic food and retsina, with great service in an intimate, friendly atmosphere - not to be missed!
