Large quiet room
Stayed here for a weekend birthday celebration in NY. Room had separate bedroom and living areas, elegant grey decor. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Easy access to restaurants, museums and the park, also close to subway.

Great romantic night in the London
I took the London for a single nights stay at the London and dinner at Gordon Ramsey's for her birthday. It was a nice hotel, with everything well appointed, and the rooms were surprisingly large. I asked for a view of central park (even though i wasn't in one of the posh rooms) and they did their best to find one with a partial view which was nice. The suite was very nice, although the decore felt a little dated, but plenty of room. The bathroom was nice, if a little small but then its a central manhattan hotel so dont expect much room in this department wherever you go. I've been to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant before and it was possibly the best meal I've ever had and his staff did not disappoint. All in all, not a cheap trip, but a perfectly appropriate special night out for my lady.

Short walk from hotel
If you want a treat - book a table at Gordon Ramsey at the London - its amazing. For a slightly more affordable option, try Maze his other restaurant in the hotel. It's not fine dining but I've seen the kitchens and its all prepped in the same place by the same great team so I'm sure it tastes superb!

"Start Spreading the News" - New York, New York
Greeted warmly as soon as we opened the town car door, the warmth of the staff from doorman to busboy to maid was evident throughout our long weekend stay. The hotels morning pastries and coffee were always fresh and hot. The location was perfect for the theater, dinner and shopping. The room was spacious and clean with the mini bar stocked every morning. The main restaurant was closed(Gordon Ramsey) and the bar scene weaved into The Maze( casual dining) making for a less than acceptable experience. We will go again!

Marea, rated number one in Italian by Zagat, is the perfect Zen experience for bunch. Located at Columbus Circle, the view is of Central Park and the delectable entries are both quiet and refined. Try the Brioche and Short Rib Ravioli as Primi and Secondi choices. Enjoy!

Birthday weekend in NYC
Had a wonderful stay. January 4-6, 2013 - not 2012 as listed. (2013 was not yet an option to select for year...) The London rooms are spacious suites with a separate living/sitting area and bedroom/bathroom. SO much nicer than those shoebox-sized rooms at the larger chains in NYC. My wife and I arrived around noon, so the only room available was the "handicap-accessible" room, which also happened to be next to the elevator shaft. We went back to the front desk and they immediately switched us to a regular King suite at the end of the hall, and they couldn't have been nicer about it. Didn't use the gym facilities, because we were close enough to Central Park to go for a nice long run (and the weather cooperated), so I can't comment on those, but they looked adequate. The two-person shower was a nice touch as well! We'll definitely be back to The London.

Large Rooms
This place is very nice. I would reccomend staying there if you are looking for large comfortable rooms and great staff. The views aren't the greatest but everything else was good. The bar staff was very friendly but don't go here if you are looking for 3 dollar beers and cheap wine. Great walking distance from Fifth Ave if shopping is your thing and great restraunts all around for any budget with in walking distance.

Long weekend getaway
The location and room were far better than most better known hotels in the area. Would stay there again and probably will. The staff was very observant and helpful. Left my Iphone on a table in the lounge area after checking out. When the cab returned to the hotel, a staff member recognized me and said he had my phone.....many thanks his awareness.

An Oasis in the heart of Manhattan
The London NYC is a gem, situated in the heart of Manhattan, close to everything but a world away from the frenetic pace outside. From the moment you enter the lobby, you feel a sense of calm and when you check in to your spacious (500 sq ft) suite with it's cool greys and blues, you truly feel relaxed. Two LCD TVs, free wifi and an ihome system for enjoying music add to the experience but it is the staff that make it a truly memorable experience. And then when you are ready for the Manhattan experience, just step outside and you are in the midst of the action that is Manhattan!

Very nice room, but previous guest was a smoker
The hotel is non smoking but when we arrived there was an ionizing machine in the middle of the room and housekeeping had the windows open to try to get rid of the smoke smell. We asked to change rooms but they were sold out and couldn't accommodate. They got most of the smell out but it was not what we expected for this hotel.
