Great location!
Perfect place to stay for a weekend. The location. Was great. Lots of cool bars and restaurants near the hotel. Even though the room was super small, it was extremely clean. My fiends and I had an awesome time.

Clean and Convenient
I stayed here 3 nights on a business trip. The location was very convenient with lots of dining and entertainment options within steps. There was a theater right next door which I unfortunately didn't have time to check out. The room was small as you except in Manhattan. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 travelers/room. Everything was clean and sort of base minimum that I'd expect. I was on the second floor which was barely above street level but despite all the sirens, I slept well. I did run the fan all night for some white noise. Defining this hotel as "boutique" does seem like a stretch but they offered free ipod checkouts with walking tours which was a neat perk. I definitely wish I'd had time to try one out. I wouldn't say it's a must-stay but I'd stay there again so long as the price was right.

Inexpensive but nothing special...
This is an inexpensive hotel and decent for the business traveler. Honestly I was expecting a little bit more modern boutique flair from the pictures and a name like the GEM... However it was perfectly acceptable for the price. Would I stay here again? If the price is right - maybe, but I prefer others...

Briefly in town
Good place to sleep
I had a very good experience here, just needed somewhere to sleep for a night, and this provided that in a great location. The room was small though, so not much room for anything besides the bed. Wouldn't want to stay here if I needed to sit down and do some work or something like that.

Great Location & Good Value
The hotel is very well located. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were neat and clean and fairly well appointed. The only thing that could be improved would be the size of the bath (for bigger than average people).

Very motel like
This hotel is close to shopping and Whole Foods, but overall the quality was pretty bad. The hotel looks very different from the site, very low budget. When I first checked in, there was luggage in my room. I was then "upgraded" to another room that smelled of smoke even though all rooms were supposed to be non-smoking. That being said, the staff is friendly and the beds were comfortable. I guess I got what I paid for. This hotel was roughly $200 less than all of the other hotels during my stay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

In the heart of things...
Room was basically in the lobby so comings and goings were too close for comfort. Bathroom sink was broken, but the room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful.
