the most amazing bed I've ever slept in
The W Court was exquisite- very clean, very sexy- with the most amazing bed I've ever slept in. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NYC- very close to Times Square and Midtown- great Chinese food up the block! Only downside was no free Wi-Fi- had to pay 16 buck for internet.

off the beaten path
The W Hotel Tuscany was a very nice hotel in a very nice neighborhood. The shower in the hotel had a broken drain and the soap holder fell off the wall while I was showering. THe heavy metal fixture hit me in the leg and foot. As a result I have a huge bruise and cut on my ankle.

Ok if you're not paying much
I'm not sure how the W New York - The Court managed to make it into the W group of hotels. It is certainly not a W. W Hotels are usually high end boutique hotels and this one is far from it. While not a bad hotel, especially by Manhattan standards, it's just disappointing as a W. The room was okay at best and the bathroom was terrible -- tiny, old (What? No marble in a W?) and actually dirty (the floor had so much dust that my feet got dark from walking around). They did have a funky decor and an LCD TV, which were attempts to glamour it up a bit, but it didn't work. Furthermore, the whole time I was there only one (of two) elevators was working and it took 10 minutes to get to the lobby every time. The bed was great, though, and there were some W features which were nice (a mellow lounge CD, a DVD player, and nice toiletries). If you manage to stay here for a good price then it's certainly okay, otherwise, you're better off elsewhere.

Comfy room, attentive staff
The hotel is located in a somewhat residential neighborhood, a little off the beaten path, but it is nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. I would stay here again, and recommend it to other travelers.

Not too close to anything, but centrally located so that any of New York's attractions are close enough to reach easily.

Family Visit
While not inexpensive, our room was certainly worth the price. Our two room suite allowed our family and guests to have a great place to relax and get out of the NYC summer heat. Hotel staff, while responsive to direct requests, were New York cool. Lobby staff, doormen, etc seemed to be on their cell phones as much as paying attention to the needs of a guest with a heavy bag. Despite having two flat panel TV's in the suite only one worked, despite our bellman's effort to get it working. The very fancy Bose CD player was dead, and dispite requests for an engineer for a fix, it never did work. Nonetheless, for an NYC hotel, the room was very spacious, clean and welcoming.

Both the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building are in sight and walking distance of the hotel. Grand Central Station is even closer.

Grea! The room was big compared to other NYC hotels, and according to the floor map, it wasn't the biggest by far.

Ottimo Hotel in pieno centro.
Ottimo Hotel in pieno centro.
