Terrific visit
Stayed here while visiting my daughter who lives nearby. Great location, friendly, helpful staff, great vibe in the lounge/bar area. Lots happening here and in the neighborhood. An ideal place to meet and greet, terrific access to subway, taxis, shopping in SoHo, eateries and sights. Room was perfect for my needs while there, adequate closet space, great bed and WiFi and amenities. Nice, soft, fluffy towels, too.

There are several local bodegas/markets within a block or two that can help save on meals/snacks. Many eateries in SoHo on Broadway to sample the local vibe and people watch. Fashion models galore, as I was there just previous to Fashion Week.

It was perfect for us
Very comfortable room, amazing staff that seems to have pride in their service and it shows. Close to everything we needed. It was easy for us to drive into the city, come down 9A, and get right into the parking lot across the street. The subway was a block away but we mostly walked around the hotel. My only issue was that I found it strange to have the check-in counter on the 2nd floor. Use the express checkout when you leave so that you can take the elevator straight to the ground floor and leave instead of stopping on the 2nd first and then down. As beautiful as the hotel is, the service is what stay in my head. Any time of day, we had friendly smiles and help. We had an issue with our air conditioner and the situation was resolved quickly. Taken to a new room, compensated with free breakfast, no stress at all.

Book Osteria Morini for dinner, it's on Lafayette street. Probably 15-20 minutes walk. The best rustic italian in the city, Chef Michael White is amazing.

A nice hotel
Our short stay was enjoyable. Although our first impression of entry and lobby was it was too dark at our 7 PM arrival. The trendy/artsy/mood lighting was amusing to a degree, as in "Who would think this is a good idea?!" Front desk was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Room service was good at 2 AM. All in all a great stay, would recommmend. Great location too!

Overnight Stay at Soho Grand
Was a beautiful escape for a birthday surprise for my wife. Suited us perfectly for our location in the city, and the best part of all was, the hotel is dog friendly! We have a 100lb Ridgeback and he was as welcome as we were. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. We would recommend this hotel to friends with, and without a dog.

Awesome place!
This was our second stay at the SoHo Grand. We were in NYC to get married. They upgraded out room and gave us complimentary drinks when the found out!!!! Great location, nice accomodations, nice staff. Would definitely stay here again!

Young and very cool
A perfect downtown location at Grand and West Broadway, this hotspot attracts the young and very cool. Decor is modern and very well-done throughout. Rooms are New York sized - on the small side, but offers evrything one needs for a short stay. Beds are comfortable with lovely linens, and bathroom towels are thick, soft, and plentiful. The only downside was that it was a little dark. Hotel lobby has an inviting bar area, well designed with very comfortable seating, offering good drinks and small bites. A little on the expensive side, but there is no rush to leave, and one can linger over a drink with no pressure to order additionally. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Reality failed to match the hype!
Although the hotel was very well located and the staff "clinically" polite the hotel failed to deliver when it came to the size of the rooms and their interior space division. When you look at the price you would expect a lot more. I was just happy that my dissapointment was essentially centered around the room size considering I took a chance on this place despite the "bed bug" warnings I received from friends and listed on various web site reviews. I may consider it again just to re-confirm or hopefully change my first impression
