Best thing about this hotel is the location, location, location. just a couple of minutes from time square. easily get to hang around in 5th ave. food is nice. staff are friendly and helpful. great experience. will be my choice for the next trip to nyc.

Good Hotel adjacent to times square. Smalli rooms, but a good value for the location. Staff was exceedingly polite and helpful.

The Sanctuary was the nicest hotel experience I've had in NYC. The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel is attractive, if a bit overly trendy. There is a nice bar on the main floor that attracts a young crowd, but it closes at 11:30 and the hotel was very quiet at night. The location is great for theater lovers. The only drawback is the very small rooms. The toilets in the the Queen bed rooms are in cubicles smaller than an airplane bathroom. A big person would have a real problem fitting. When I return to this hotel, I will get a King room.

The hotel was nice. It's right by Times Square, so the location is great. The staff was pleasant. The room was nice, but small. Breakfast was average. Parking is across the street at $50 for 24hrs.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very competent. There was no question they couldn't answer. The ambience was lovely - entering from the bustling street into the calming atmosphere of a low-lighted lobby gave you a feeling of immediate "Sanctuary". Location, and price were appropriate but it is the staff that will bring us back.

The room was VERY small. The shower was actually in the bedroom with just a curtain to pull shut for privacy. There were 2 of us in the room, but we never received any additional soap or shampoo,other than the ones on our arrival, during our 3 night stay. The location was excellent. The continental breakfast was very good.

Found this Hotel online while looking for something different from the usual. The hotel's staff could not have been nicer, more helpful of friendlier. We made full use of the concierge (STARS) service for restaurants, cabs etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable especially the bed but they are - lets say very compact. If you are looking for a room to hang out in and work this is probably not for you but are a clean comfortable place to sleep they are great and very quiet. It was very close to Time Sq and all those amenities. The lobbies and bar were really nice with comfortable seating next to a gas flame fire. Definitely recommend

Rooms are small but compact and very clean. Bed was super comfortable Staff was pleasant , courteous and happy to serve Lobby at night was very loud with a lively bar. Good for younger set.

First the room was incredibly tiny, with the shower a glass-wall unit inside the small bedroom; and the sink also inside the bedroom. The toilet is in a small closet. There is one over-the-sink mirror that is oddly lit. When you shower the whole room gets steam up because the glass does not go to the ceiling. The closet is VERY small. There's no room to put your suitcase in the room except to block the little bit of space you have between the wall and the bed. The free continental breakfast is the barest minimum. One elevator was working, and it's a small one. The orb. online description is deceptive; it says fitness room and health club--neither are on premises. Rather you are given a pass to go to the equinox which is FOUR blocks away. This is unacceptable; and unfair advertising. If the fitness room is off premises, the description should say so. i stayed here because it had a fitness center--that's a bottom line item for me, and there wasn't one. Pluses: the Wifi is free and functions throughout this small hotel. the staff is very friendly and goes out of its way to help you, although they are not all very knowledgeable and need to learn more about their neighborhood and the locations of major NY sight, such as the MOMA. The staff does its best to make your experience better (they deserve kudos),but the facilities are lacking

We stayed for 3 nights in a queen room. The room was really nice (and really small). The staff are very helpful and eager to please. A very light continental breakfast was included. The location was the best, just a half block off Times Square, but our room was super quiet. The giant showerhead was great. We would absolutely recommend it to friends. The only amenity I missed was room service, but they said they were adding a restaurant soon, so I'm sure room service is on its way too.
