All rooms have pillow-top mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters, feather down pillows, 25" plasma TVs, mini-fridges, iHomes, two-line telephones, and laptop safes. Mom and daughter get away
Fun mom and daughter get away
We had never stayed in a NYC hotel before so it was a bit of an adjustment getting used to the kiosk-like check in desk, small lobby, narrow hallways, and compartment-like room. But my daughter and I quickly came to appreciate the funkiness of the Room Mate Grace - and especially enjoyed the darkened pool with its changing colors, the sauna, and the convenience of being a few blocks off Times Square.

Good Value / Fun
If you need to be in the Times Square area this hotel is a good choice. This property is all about good value. The facilities (pool, steam room, sauna, bar) are the main attraction. I would recommend this hotel to younger people looking to have a fun weekend in the city. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were quiet.

Great indoor pool, horrible room
When I first walked in, I was already disappointed. The lobby was very small and casual; not so professional, T-shirt uniform. Hotel is very small. The only great thing about this hotel was the indoor pool and it was amazing. The room was VERY DISAPPOINTING. It was like a nice version of a hostel. Very small, no room service, jail-like bathroom, terrible lighting/dark, weird phone, very very disappointing. Do not stay if you're expecting a regular hotel/room. I would never stay there again.

Perfect Location
The hotel was amazing! Right off of times square and close to several Subway stops. The room was great, clean and quiet! Our check in wasn't till noon but they let us in before 8am! The bed was super soft and everything was stocked.

Great location; Tiny rooms
If you wish to be steps from Times Square at a reasonable rate, this is the place. However, you will give up the space you may be used to. We were upgraded to the "Deluxe" room. The room was so small, it made you wonder what the regular room looked like. There was barely enough room to walk in and out as the bed took up the entire room. The hotel seemed to be trendy with a very European flair. I would consider staying here again if I wanted to be in the heart of Times Square and willing to be in a very cramped space.

Simply amazing
The staff at this hotel was very helpful, any questions i had they were answered. They helped with my stay saving me time not having to walk around with a map trying to locate everything. It is a retro style hotel so if your into this kind of thing its great. Overall my girlfriend and i had an amazing time in new york and the room mate grace was a big part of that.

Perfect for Times Square
The hotel was in a great location, even though it was loud at times outside the hotel, the bed was fantastic enough that I never had a problem sleeping. The only issue was that the breakfast I thought was included in the price was, in fact, not included. And the drinks were expensive.

Fun times in the city
room was small but comfortable. Shower was probably my favorite part. Overall hotel rates high on aesthetic, low on space, but in Midtown, tat's par for the course
