Good hotel and location for the price

This hotel makes for a decent stay in midtown. Times Square is a short walk, our room was decently clean and we had a room on the interior side so it was miraculously quiet! It says four star but the hotel is definitely 3.5 star by NYC standards and says so on its website.

Very Disappointed

My boyfriend had booked this hotel for my birthday, and we were thoroughly excited to be paying $119; it was a steal for a hotel so close to Times Square. When we arrived at the hotel, we started to understand why it was so cheap. We couldn't check into our room at 2, and had to wait until 4. The line when we got there was long. The hotel's Bar and Restaurant had just recently closed for renovations, and there was absolutely no Room Service available. We couldn't even get a Wine Bottle Opener. The TV offered three movies, and the Staff was not very nice or timely. Overall I'd say lesson learned, and will be calling hotels to make sure that all there amenities are available if we are going to be paying to stay there, and I suggest you do the same.

great time in NY

our stay at park central was great. the rooms were nice and clean, we were exhausted when we got there and asked if we could check in earlier to get some sleep and they were totally fine with that. would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room, but otherwise can't complain, loved the hotel and would stay there again

Convenience and comfort

Once we opened the windows the room became more habitable. Comfortable otherwise, although the trendy thing for high end hotels seems to make the customer look good in the mirror by providing a darkened bathroom. Don't put make-up on in there!

Park Central Hotel NYC

The staff is committed, but a few amenities are lacking. We were never able to get my I Pad connected online via their IT flawed system. While the room was both clean and neat every day, attention to detail like replacement of coffee cups and makings was often forgotten. After a fulll day in the city, a nice movie might, on occasion, be just the thing on a cold winter's day. Their selection was lacking. However, the staff is friendly, and the place is jumpin', so we would stay there again - especially if the improvements suggested were implemented. Wayne Long

Good value at a great location

Despite the Christmas holiday crowds, the Park Central maintained a high standard of service and comfort. For shopping, theater, Rockfeller Center, Lincoln Center and general sightseeing, the location is great. The hotel is a little light on amenities. In contrast to the hotel, the restaurant is best described as adequate with service that was not consistently friendly or good. There are however plenty of good restaurants nearby so don't let that dissuade you from the hotel. Disappointing was the lack of WiFi except at a rate we didn't choose to pay, and the lack of a computer room. Overall it was a good choice for us for this trip location wise and we found the hotel staff friendly and helpful.

Location? - Check, Lobby? - Check, Room? - Not Quite

The hotel location was perfect! Absolutely close everything in Midtown and easy to get anywhere by cab. The lobby was a nice greeting, but floors of lodging were not well maintained. Great place to stay for location and if room quality is not of importance and you just need the basics.
