Great Location, Service, and Value

The location was great, and close to the subway if you wanted to go farther. The street the hotel was on was quiet, too. The service was unbeatable. They were friendly from the first phone call to checking out. We weren't guarenteed a room with a king bed, but when I called to confirm and ask if we could have that type of room, they said that while they couldn't give us a king room, they would upgrade our room. The upgrade they gave us? The penthouse suite! It was huge, had a balcony that wrapped around a quarter of the building, and had views of the Empire State Building. But we were able to glimpse some of the other rooms and they were also big. Given the room size, cleanliness, service, and location, the value is incredible. We would definitely stay there again.

Lexington Ave. has lots of restaurants, bars, and activities, all close to the hotel. Also, several banks, ATMs, and pharmacies should you need them.

A pretty good hotel in central Manhattan

Nice hotel, with very large room and a small kitchen, I've been in smaller and much pricier hotels in New York. But why do hotels charge so much for Wifi access in rooms? There is a free Wifi access in the lobby...

Excellent value for money

Great location in Manhattan, only 3 blocks from Grand Central. Lots of restaurants, bars, as you walk out of the hotel. More importantly, close to the UN where my business is. Hotel staff are very friendly, and the rooms are fit for a king - complete with kitchenette, cette, tea-making facility, wireless, ironing board, etc. The price was a steal.

Great Midtown Hotel Find

This was our third time staying at the Murray Hill East Hotel. We like the convenient location - near the Broadway shows and lots of nice restaurants. This hotel is nice because of the size. We had a full size kitchen, living room and king-size bedroom. Much nicer than a standard hotel room. I wish they had free wifi in the rooms but at $7.95 a night, it wasn't too bad. I believe that there is free wifi in the lobby. There is no restaurant in this hotel but there are many restaurants around and, with the kitchen, we were able to have food available for the weekend.

Great Stay As Always

I love this hotel and have stayed many times. I find it very clean and homey and having the kitchen and the spacious rooms makes it very special (especially in New York where rooms are generally small.) The staff is nice and the location can't be beat for getting anywhere in Manhattan.

Fabulous!

Hotel is located in a terrific place (Midtown, close to subways, great for walking everywhere), superb (clean, spacious, re-done), staff is wonderful, and the price is quite reasonable. This is our 2nd time there, and will go again.

Great Hotel

I did not know what to expect from the Murry Hill East Hotel, and am pleasantly surprised how pleasant it was. The suite was clean and spacious, close to restaurants, super markets, cabs, and museums. I t was equivalent of having a spacious apartment in a very safe and beautiful part of New York. I highly recommend this hotel for families. We would not consider staying anywhere else. We definitely lan to return to this hotel next year!
