Fantastic Base for New York!!

Because of the location of the hotel we managed to do all the major sights for first time visitors to New York. The hotel was fantastic for a super place basically used for a clean bed and bathroom, with superbly polite, helpful and knowledgeable staff on every level. The rooms had everything and more and as a new hotel with everything fresh and shiny it was fab!

Brilliant Hotel, great location

The hotel was in a good location, a very short distance from Times Square. Staff were very friendly and keen to help. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant and it was lovely. The rooms were immaculate, toiletries always well topped up.

The Birdland Jazz Club, which is directly opposite the hotel, is a great venue. Music is fantastic, food is fine, the price of the show is less than that of a broadway show and is therefore great value.

Amazing hotel, great location

We came with our grandaughters as a special treat. [...], one of the ladies at the hotel was so helpful, flowers, chocolates, cake were all laid on. We had beautiful views of the skyline and Hudson. The hotel was just a stone's throw from Time square which is fantastic whilst it was so easy to get to all the shops especially when the nearest subway station is literally next to the hotel entrance. Fantastic.

If you are keeping to Manhatten, the subway system is fantastic and will get you to most places. At 29 dollars for the week, it is great value when compared to London. The nearest station is literally next to the hotel doorway!

New York , New York!

I would definitely recommend the Intercontinental at Times Square for comfort, cleanliness and location. Subway was minutes away ( & safe and easy to use, despite our previous reservations). All the theatres were close by, should you need them and it was central for shopping, Central Park,Grand Central Station, Empire State etc, all ,a few blocks away. My own disappointment was in the places to eat - having been to Florida several times.

Don't hesitate to walk anywhere- you see the sights from a local's perspective. Take lunch to one of the many local park's - the Policemen readily help with directions - visit Ground Zero, it's really moving!

Gateway to Broadway

Great place with excellent staff. If you don't like long straight hallways this is for you, hallways are a left/right affair for whatever reason. Quiet rooms that are bigger than what I expected for New York City. Walk to the Garden, Broadway, Times Square.

Take a right and walk a block to Times Square or take a left and walk a few blocks to Hells Kitchen for block after block of dining and drinks. Subway entrance is ten steps from the door or just grab a cab.
