Awesome Location

The room was clean except for a half eaten container of cashews that was left opened on the desk from a prior occupant. I was fearful that they would charge me for that container of cashews but they didn't. The location was just a block from Times Square and that made the trip. The bed was very comfortable with lots of throw pillows and the rain shower head had fantastic water pressure. They didn't have their own parking facilities but we got a spot directly across the street. Price wasn't to bad either for NY that is.

The "must" stay hotel in Times Square

We were in NY for the countdown 2011 and the Intercontinantal Hotel at Times Square was an ideal for staying! Surrounding with shopping, foods, pubs and the hotel itself located only a block away from Broadway and 7Av where all big and bright billboards are. Plus, the subway station is right there in front of the hotel to the right. This made our traveling in Manhattan so convenience!

the bad: no free internet access

The hotel and services were OK. But the really bad thing was that we had to pay almost 15 USD/day to get an internet access. Considering the price of one night, i think that it should be provided with no extra cost. In a town like NY it is crazy to have no free internet access. Furthermore when you go to Starbuck, Mac Donald or any other restaurant and spend only 5 USD there, you have free internet access. So i can't understand that i spent more than 2000 USD for a room and had no free internet access during my whole stay.... Otherwise the hotel was fine.

Was Good but no more than expected!

We had an unfortunate break in that the Snow arrived and were stuck in Dublin - Delta put us up in the Conrad Hilton and I would have to say it was better than the IC in NY. Would I go back? Well maybe but we had a request for an extra single bed and it was refused on the grounds of Fire Safety (Its the Law in NY) but they did move us from Floor ten to sixteen as compensation. The rooms are quite small for 4 people but they were very clean and fresh always! Internet was a bit expensive at 13 USD a day for wireless! I guess it was the major snowfall that messed up things and it was just about cleaned up the day we were leaving! It was an experience, marks overall 7/10

Modern, clean, great location

Beautiful modern brand new hotel very clean located perfectly to all Midtown attractions. Nice bar and coffee stand inside the hotel with several good priced restaurants right nearby. TV reception spotty, when we called the front desk they said it was because they have a dish + the wind interferes with it. The Shake Shack next door has great burgers and Jones Restaurant good soup and delicious sandwiches.

Sumptuous Mod/Hip Hotel nr Birdland

To begin with, we were warmly greeted by every member of the staff we came across from the bell men to the clerks, and happily surprised by just how beautifully designed the hotel was. The hotel is literally 1 1/2 blocks from Times Square, but the rooms were very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was generous and well appointed with every modern convenience in the room itself. A hip-home-away-from-home!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

A short walk takes you to Times Square and several subway stops where you can speedily get to any museum or shopping district. We found the Chelsea Market cozy, diverse, and reasonable with a wide selection of food, and a special holiday market featuring a dozen local artists and makers. Around the corner from the hotel on 9th we found a quaint crepe shop for breakfast nosh and strong coffee.

VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, GREAT LOCATION!

We went to the Intercontinental Hotel a week and a half before Christmas and had a wonderful time! Would have to say it was the best priced hotel with the highest level of quality with the flight and hotel package. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. Did not eat anything at the hotel mostly because the location provided us so many other dining opportunities. Not much of a view from our window, but the room was a GOOD SIZE, CLEAN and COMFORTABLE for NYC and LOCATION was perfect. Two blocks from Times Square and the subway to take you to lower manhattan attractions. A bit of a walk to Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park but totally worth it and good exercise. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Fantastic Family Getaway

Our trip to New York was a family Christmas getaway. We wanted to take the kids to see the sites and sounds of the city. The hotel was in a perfect location for walking and accessing many of the attractions. The hotel was comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. One of the best trips we have ever taken.
