Awesome Location

The room was clean except for a half eaten container of cashews that was left opened on the desk from a prior occupant. I was fearful that they would charge me for that container of cashews but they didn't. The location was just a block from Times Square and that made the trip. The bed was very comfortable with lots of throw pillows and the rain shower head had fantastic water pressure. They didn't have their own parking facilities but we got a spot directly across the street. Price wasn't to bad either for NY that is.

clean but ignorant

I did not spend much time at the hotel, but I expected to have the coffee and water replaced in my room and the shampoo and conditioner wasn't replaced iether, now don't get me wrong I wasn't out to pocket the goodies but for them to treat you as if they couldn't trust you with extra shampoo is cheap for a 400$ a night hotel! no newspaper either. But what topped it all was when I told them at the front desk while checking out, instead of an apology I got the"why are you telling me this " stare down!! wow!! nice place but I hate to spend my well earned money and get the attitude. never again

Night in NYC

This hotel was awesome!! I highly recommend it. The hotel was just recently renovated from top to bottom. The rooms were outstanding, they were modern, chic and very very clean. The bathroom was the best! Clean, new and zen. The hotel bar was trendy and sophisticated, not to mention they served great drinks. Last, the location was perfect for dinner, theatre or just a night in Times Square. It is on the same street as Carmine's and one block from the center of Times Square.

Excellent location

Hotel is on the corner of 8th ave and 44th street, one block from Times Square, which is extremely busy 24/7. Staff very friendly and rooms were of a high quality. As this was our first trip to New York the hotel was perfectly placed for sightseeing, and in easy walking distance to a number of landmark locations such as the Empire State Building. Recommend the hop on/hop off bus tours, worth paying the money for.

Entertainment tip: Not Applicable

If you are looking for Broadway tickets don't queue up at the TKTS office (50% off) in Times Square - long queues. Take sightseeing bus downtown, get off at Staten Island ferry stop and walk short distance to TKTS office in South Street in the Seaport area. Same deals less queuing.

A nice upscale hotel that's in the middle of everything. If it's not within walking distance - theatre, museums, shopping, sightseeing - subways, buses and taxis are all handy.
