Midtown hotel awash in whimsical luxury near Central Park
Uber-modern design, whimsical touches and luxurious amenities are all rolled into the Hudson hotel near the Time Warner Center and Central Park. A glowing, yellow escalator greets guests and transports them to the lobby, with its 40-foot, ivy-covered ceiling. - We are delighted to announce that we will be re-concepting our Hudson Cafeteria restaurant to create a new and exciting food venue, opening late Spring. As a result, Cafeteria will be closed from Oct. 21st on. In the interim, we will be offering a full hot breakfast buffet in Hudson Bar from 6:30 - 11am Monday - Friday and 7am - 11am, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, we will also be offering limited food in Library Bar from 11am – 10pm 7 days a week. Room Service will continue to operate as normal throughout this concept change. We thank you for the understanding while we work through this transition and look forward to offering you a complete new food venue in late Spring.

Terrible rooms!!!
Don't get me wrong the hotel is great, location, staff and decor, but the rooms were terrible. We knew the rooms were a bit smaller, but they were small! First room they checked us into had several problems. The TV in the room didn't work, the pressure of the shower was very week and the bolt of the door stayed open, so when you left the room the door didn't close!! Our second room wasn't any larger, in fact it felt as if the bathroom was smaller. Warning...for those of you that are just friends and staying in a room together, request for a shower with a wall, some rooms have a see thru glass with just a sheer white curtain to block the view. If you have the money, definatly upgrade to a larger room!!!

Cramped in NYC
The room is very small and included only a bed and small desk and chair. The bathroom is incredibly tiny and not particularly well lit. For a single person (man) it is barely workable. The street noise is very noticable and makes sleeping difficult. I do not recommend staying here especially if there is more than one person and certainly not a family.

roach motel
As soon as I got to the hotel although beautiful and trendy, I knew that it was not going to be a good experience. The front desk staff was very unfriendly and not helpful unless you were wearing a fur coat and carry and LV bag. The room service staff however were very nice. On my last morning, I found a roach in my bathroom that was still alive. I trapped it under a cup and called the front desk thinking that they would send someone or at least comp something from my charges. All i got was a "I'm so sorry". I think that is absolutely disgusting. I will never stay here ago or recommend the hotel to anyone.

Not Good
This is an overpriced,dirty, noisy hotel. The rooms were very,very small, not enough room to keep the luggage, very small bathrooms. The hall ways were dark, smelly. I do not think that this hotel will pass a franchise inspection.I would try to avoid going to this hotel

Very disappointing
1. Staff at check-in could not find confirmed reservation; took 45 minutes to obtain a room assignment. 2. Even with all the lights on, the rooms at the Hudson are too dark. 3. The bed was much too low to the floor.

Horrible Hotel- Do Not Stay HERE- DEF NOT 4 STARS
Hotel was horrible- room was the size of a closet- absolutely no room to move around or even have a suitcase open- No room service- no mini bar- no bar service to the room- they didn't even have any cups in the room -- rooms have single pane windows so all you hear is nyc noise all night long- This hotel was supposed to be 4 stars and it should be 1 star IF that.. staff was rude, rooms were TINY and there are no amenities whatsoever! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY~~ sleeping in your car would be better

Nice place, left a bad taste!
Hotel staff was unknowledgeable and arrogant. Room was not ready at 6PM and staff had no idea what to do besides offer us a drink at the bar....rude, unfriendly and untimely!!
