good location, quaint, modern, friendly, simple, I would return.

Room was on the small side, but clean, quiet, and comfortable (especially the bed). Bathroom with nice modern fixtures. Coffee and tea available all day in the lobby, which was another plus. Staff was among the friendliest of any hotel I've experienced (in New York or anywhere else for that matter). Would definitely return.

It is not a fancy hotel but the staff is lovely, the room was clean and the location perfect. And very comfortable bed. I would go there again.

A short walk south to Union Square or north to 23rd St put plenty of subway lines within easy reach. A variety of food choices and price ranges are handy. The very clean room was small (of course) but had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. We came to attend a wedding nearby, but would happily stay here again on our next trip to NYC.

The room and staff were fantastic. The location could be a little better, but I rather pay for a good hotel some blocks away from Times Square than pay a lot of money for a bad room better located. My only issue is the price, but everything is expensive in New York, so it is a good choice.

Verite Hotel is a new boutique hotel about two minutes' walk from Union Square. It's located in a great retail area and only a block from 5th Avenue. The lobby presents a minimalist decor that is carried through in the rooms, which feature excellent quality beds and good linens. The white duvet-covered comforter and bedding give the whole room a pristine appearance. We stayed in a 4th floor room with two queen beds to accommodate three adults; there was also a sofa, desk, and wardrobe, which tended to make the room seem a bit crowded, but it turned out to be extremely functional and comfortable. The staff was most helpful as well as very professionally dressed. The only negative was the sound of the subway train undergound nearby, but this didn't really bother us. All in all, we look forward to staying at the Verite again. Highly recommended.

I went to NYC for 2 days of vacation and I was pretty surprised by finding a hotel like this for that price. Well, of course there are some cons as well as pros. First of all, they do no mention that in the website but if you are driving to NYC, add about $35 per day to your bill "WITH" the coupon they are providing. So parking is an issue. Also, there was no (or very little) hot water in the bathroom. But, that was a very clean place in a great location which were my first priorities. The stuff very great. I will definitely come there again but without a car.

Hotel Veriten sijainti ja pienen hotellin ystävällinen henkilökunta saavat erinomaisen arvosanan. Gramercyn alueelta on helppo kulku eri puolille, Union Square ja Madison Square ovat lähellä, Empire State Building on kävelymatkan päässä. Alueella on ihania ravintoloita, kahviloita ja kauppoja, ilmapiiri hotellin naapurustossa on trendikäs ja kodikas, easygoing. Alue oli mielestämme parasta näkemäämme New Yorkia. Miinuksena toteaisimme tästä hotellista, että hotellihuoneessa oli ajoittain erittäin kylmä. Lämpötilaa yritettiin säätää moneen otteeseen henkilökunnan toimesta ja asia korjaantui aina hetkeksi. Olimme matkalla huhtikuun lopussa, jolloin ei ollut vielä helteitä, joten ilmastointi oli turhan tehokas ja sisäilman lämpötilaa ei saatu balanssiin. Lopulta pärjäsimme loppuviikon huoneessamme lisäpatterin avulla. Kokonaisuutena hotellia voi kyllä suositella sijainnin ja ihanan, auttavaisen henkilökunnan vuoksi.

Auf unserer längeren Reise war NY die letzte Station. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit 2 Queen-Betten, wobei sich 3 Kinder ein Doppelbett teilen mussten. Zusätzliche Kinderbetten gab es nicht. War soweit kein Problem. Das Zimmer hatte keinen Ausblick, lediglich ein Fenster, welches in eine Art Lüftungsschacht öffnete. Da wir meistens unterwegs waren, spielte auch das keine Rolle. Die Wände sind in Richtung Gang eher etwas hellhörig, aber es war ruhig und kein Lärm. Umbauarbeiten am Tag tangierten uns am Rande (minime Lärmentwicklung, keine Belästigung). Das Personal war hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Alles klappte problemlos (Internetreservierung, Bestätigung, Bezahlung). Kaffee/heisses Wasser (z.B. für Kinder) gab es im EG beim Empfang. Frühstück gab es keines, angegliedert war ein Restaurant (Mittag?/Abend), welches wir nicht genutzt haben. Wir würden das Hotel wieder nehmen. Aufgrund der Lage lässt sich New York (bzw. Manhattan) problemlos zu Fuss oder mit Metro erkunden. Es liegt wirklich gut in der 'Mitte'.
