Fantastic location
Excellent location for many New York sights, especially the Empire State Building. We chose the hotel due to it's proximity to Madison Square Garden as we had a concert and hockey match to attend. (Cross the road in front of the hotel and you are at MSG!!) Very basic hotel with comfortable bed, bathroom could do with a re-fit. Has a coffee shop and is joined to a Lindy's diner, also plenty of other eating places close by. Good check out time of 12pm and can leave luggage securely for up to 24 hours for only $4 a case. Rooms cleaned daily and helpful concierge desk that can book anything needed. Very busy hotel which attracts a lot of younger groups but good value for a basic good location hotel. We would stay again if we needed to be near MSG.

Great location, accepts pets, but otherwise not so good.
The location is perfect. It is wonderful that we could have our dogs with us in the room. However, the amenities and service were substandard.

Nice service
The people for my check in is quite nice. She show the good way to save the parking expense. The housekeeper is keeping the room very clean after I tired back from a meeting. I will stay this hotel when I visit NY again. Appreciated for all arrangements.

I had booked a superior room for two(pre-paid). The room assigned on the 2nd floor had no hot water. It was also on a smoking floor when non-smoking had been requested at the time of reservation. I was relocated to the 8th floor. Everything in this room was smaller and of lower quality than what the superior room offered. (room size, TV, bed etc.). An absolute downgrade. This room did not have a tub merely a shower that leaked loudly all night. the sink only had cold water. Despite assurance that the hot water tap would be attended to, this never happened. Overall this was a greatly dissatisfying experience and quite uncomfortable. Particularly after arrival from a transAtlantic flight. I have stayed here in the past but am inclined to make this my last visit. Certainly not value for money and no compensation was offered for the downgrade.

Good location but need friendly staff
The hotel is well located in the heart of Manhattan. It's awesome. The rooms are very small and old. The window did not closed at all and the cold wind was a undesirable company. The staff people need a reconstruction of humor urgent :-)

Best deal I could find
Excellent deal, great location. Had an interview on wall street, took about 15 minuets to get to. Penn Station subway/train station is right across the street. Just a few blocks from time square. Staff was worthless, tried to call the front desk but it rang out for 10 minutes and I gave up. Room was more than comfortable. No, it's not a 5 star hotel. It IS a comfortable, clean, excellent deal in an excellent location.

Awful hotel.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Terribly run down and in desperate need of decoration. Staff were rude, apart from one. The smell of drugs in the corridors was disgusting. Carpets were very stained and thread bare. Bathroom fitments were rusty, tiles had scum, hairs and bodily fluid all splashed up them. The rooms were dark small and dingy. Lights didn't work. Everywhere was covered in dust. Rotten doors, and plaster coming off. Heating system very old and noisey. The bath was so old and rough you couldn't sit down in it. It was the tower of terror.
