Great hotel
Hotel Mela provided superb accomodations and great guest service. While the room was smaller than some, it had very new carpet and new contemporary furnishings. The room had a flat panel t.v., armoir with plently of room to hang clothes for two, a room key activated safe, and a large desk. The double bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on at any hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent -- it was only two short blocks from Times Square and three short blocks to the subway station. Restaurants, shops, and entertainment were all within a short walking distance.

Most of the Broadway theaters and Times Square are a short walk from this hotel. There is no need to have a car or call a taxi while staying here.

Hotel Mela
I had a wonderful time at the Hotel Mela. The staff was very accomadating and the hotel beautiful and clean. The rooms were a bit small. The beds are very tiny and I'm glad my 6'5 husband wasn't on this trip as he would have hung off the bed by about a foot. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Manhatten whether on business or for pleasure.

Great location
This hotel is located in the heart of Times Square. The room was more than comfortable. Eventhough the hotel didn't have it's own bar or restaurant, several were located just steps away.

perfect spot!
The Hotel Mela is in a prime location for mid-town exposure. You're close to Broadway, walking distance as well as Radio City and the shops on Fifth ave. Although there a tiny lobby, but who needs a large lobby anyway, the elevators are very fast and efficient. The number of rooms per floor are perhaps 20 so that you're not going to walk forever to reach your room. We stayed in an executive king which was roomy for NY standards and had everything we needed except a microwave oven. The air conditioning was excellent and the bed was so comfy. It's a winner and we'll stay there often.

Friendly Staff
Hotel Mela combines great service and great location. Check In/Out was quick and smooth. Located between Broadway and The Rockefeller, pretty much everything is in walking distance.

Great Business Hotel in a Great Location
Hotel Mela was very clean and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. The location is great as it's walking disrance from popular attractions, like Times Square and Rockefeller Center. The street is pretty busy, so it felt safe to walk at night. The bed was very comfortable! They have free internet access so that helped a great deal especially since I was there for business.

Great restaurants in walking distance. The only time we had to take a taxi around town was to go to the Javicz Center, which didn't take too long either!

Great Location & Comfort
There on business for one night. I really needed to sleep. Bed was totally awesome. Didn't need a huge room, office was in times square. This was in walking distance. This room was exactly what I needed. Very friendly staff. I admit I didn't need the additional services or order food in. I used the free wireless & it was pretty quick. The only down for the room was the air conditioning was a little loud when it shut off. But it wasn't enough to wake me & the room was cool and comfortable while battling heat and humidity outside. The location is fabulous.

Best price for the quality and location
I'll be staying at the Hotel Mela again. Most of the hotels of this quality and location to Times Square are twice the amount. Great value!

cutting edge!!
The location was great, room was above my expectations!! i will return soon as a matter of fact.Very clean and state of the art. I only wished they had room service with fresh pot of coffee on the menu. the room had a coffee maker but, I like fresh cream and good hard java in the morning.
