Stadthotel
Das Hotel Mela ist sehr gut gelegen. In einer Seitenstrasse 200m vom TimesSquare entfernt ist es aber dann doch etwas lauter. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber für ein paar Tage gehts. Auf jedenfall wurde jeden Tag aufgeräumt. Das versprochene Wlan hat bei uns im Zimmer leider nicht funktioniert, wir mussten zum Lift um einigermassen Empfang zu haben. Das Personal war nicht besonders freundlich, aber mehr als zum ein bzw. auschecken braucht man die ja eh nicht.

Hotel an bester Lage!
Sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Einziger Kritikfaktor: das Zimmerfenster war in Richtung Innenhof, wo umliegende Gebäude ihre Klimakompressoren stehen haben. Das monotone Brummen war uns jedoch lieber, als wenn das Fenster zur Strasse gewesen wäre. Das Zimmer war eher klein, für NY wohl normal; das Badezimmer dagegen war überraschend geräumig. Mehrere gute Frühstücks-Gelegenheiten in unmittelbarer Nähe.

NIE WIEDER !!!
Die Lage des Hotels ist wohl das einzigst gute. Das Zimmer Lag direkt neben dem Aufzug und war deutlich hörbar. Das Zimmer war Richtung Innenhof ausgerichtet (Gefängnisausblick) und die dort angebrachten Klimaanlagen haben die Aufzugsgeräusche noch getopt. Zum Abschluss wurden uns drei Tage nach Abreise noch 160$ von unserer Kreditkarte abgebucht da wir angeblich im Zimmer geraucht hätten (wir sind absolute Nichtraucher). Trotz E-Mail-Kontakt erfolgte keine Reaktion bzw. Rückbuchung. NIE WIEDER!!!

super Lokation!
Waren 6 Tage dort. Alles in Allem hat uns das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer war gut ausgesattet. Die Lage des Hotels war perfekt. Ca. 1 Minute bis zum Times Square. Würden das Hotel jederzeit an Freunde und Bekannte weiterempfehlen.

Si cela ne vous dérange pas de ne pas voir la lumière du jour...
L'hôtel est correct (même si la moquette parait quelque peu douteuse!), toutefois et c'est le problème à New York, vous ne verrez jamais le ciel depuis votre chambre et donc la lumière du jour!! La chambre n'est pas petite comme indiqué dnas d'autres commentaires, elle est minuscule si vous prenez la 1ère catégorie. Au bout de 2 nuits nous avons réussi à obtenir une chambre plus grande. Jamais je n'y retournerai!!!!

dunkles Hotelzimmer an bester Lage
Wer am Morgen erwacht, und gerne das Wetter draussen sehen würde, ist hier am falschen Ort. Das Fenster lässt sich zwar irgendwie öffnen, die Lüftung ist aber dermassen laut im Innenhof, dass man sich kaum mehr unterhalten kann. Das Zimmer ist zwar sauber, aber sehr klein. Die Lage ist allerdings top.

De l'extérieur l'hotel semble
De l'extérieur l'hotel semble miniscule et dans le lobby, c'est le cas... Mais les chambres sont très grandes (ce qui est très rare pour NYC). Son emplacement est extraordinnaire. Au centre de Time Square, les métros à une minute, le square sur la 6eme pour le petit dejeuner est top. Pour avoir essayé pas mal d'hotels, j'y retournerai à coups sur.
